    "Good"

    StarStarStarStarStar
Former Employee - Customer Service Representative in Mira Loma, CA

I worked at CEVA Logistics full-time

    Pros

Good, comfortable environment, great people to work with, fast paced environments, training was excellent and efficient. Good vibes and people

    Cons

Working long hours, anywhere from 8-16 hours a day, couldn't leave until everything was done. Account manager was a dictator

    Advice to Management

Don't work your employees so much, give them better benefits, pay and vacation. Some management were great leaders

    Knowledge on how logistics work.

    Cons

Difficulty moving up, unless you're willing to do long hours with small pay.

    Advice to Management

Don't take advantage or over see the great potential that your current employees have to move up in position.

I worked at CEVA Logistics full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

there are some cool co-workers, and get good discounts from our customers

    Cons

Many departments are under staff, they are slow to hire people. That had large layoffs to please their stock holders (they were taken over by CMA CGM), a lot of layoffs were in departments already under staff. Very long hours

    Advice to Management

Hire more people, stop being under staff. Don't dump work on a few people's desk,

I have been working at CEVA Logistics full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Decentralized management, dedicated division, purchasing clout

    Cons

Long hours, Mediocre pay, upper management turnover

    Advice to Management

Stop with the upper management turnover - Clients can't build relationships. They've told us numerous times but the culture is still heavy turnover.

I worked at CEVA Logistics full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Day is Over when Route is Complete Pay is 1099 - No Taxes Taken Out - Independent Contractor Off on Weekends (Sometimes work on Saturdays during Peak Season) No Supervisor breathing down your neck Ability to make good money (IF** you own your own truck)

    Cons

Long Hours No Overtime Pay - No additional pay for working 60 and 80 hours Dispatchers dont care if you have a life outside CEVA Dispatchers dont care if the route is a feasible route to be inside delivery time windows Unorganized Favoritism with drivers, even if you are working hard, if you arent buddy buddy with the people giving routes, you may not even work some days if its slow 1099 (as a PRO and CON) - You must pay taxes at the end of the year on a job that barely makes ends meet without taxes taken out. As a Helper you get less respect than a driver, and are treated as a disposable commodity instead of an asset to the company.

    Advice to Management

Try to be more compassionate towards your delivery drivers lives, instead of just worrying about packing as much work as you can onto the truck, with no regard as to how long it actually takes to deliver (as an example) 25 stops all over the metroplex in 8 hours in a truck that is 18 feet and doesnt go over 65 mph.

I have been working at CEVA Logistics full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

There are none. Management ruins everything

    Cons

Poor management, shady bosses, heavy workloads, long hours, damands to work overtime and over the weekends, and gets mad when you do work overtime.

    Advice to Management

New management needs to stop hiring their friends for employment. Know how to do your job or step down. Stop mixing work with pleasure. Hire people that know what they’re doing. Management was good until the new people came around. You know who you are.

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

I worked at CEVA Logistics full-time

    Pros

If you like having something new to do every day and having different tasks every day then this could be a great place for you to work

    Cons

Logistics is a tough industry to work in, long hours and thankless. There are opportunities but only if you are chosen by upper management.

    Advice to Management

Continue to recognize the employees to work hard and put in long hours to accelerate business development for the branch.
