    I worked at CH2M full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Some of the best and brightest co-workers that I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Deep technical expertise in the company. Flexible work policies (teleworking, work hours not set in stone, etc.)

    Cons

    Consistently shifting management that does not seem very well connected to the day-to-day delivery of projects and the needs of particular offices. The performance reviews are a waste of time.

    I worked at CH2M for less than a year

    Pros

    Flexible work schedule, responsibility in complex and long-term projects (worked as a junior engineer), was invited to attend to attend high-level meetings with clients and felt welcomed by executive management, ability to explore career interests outside of direct assignments, strong Junior and Mid-level Professional (JuMP) networking opportunities, strong intern support program through weekly skype trainings, friendly and hard-working people--no slackers!

    Cons

    Many full-time employees work remotely--good for work life balance but bad for forming relationships since in-person interaction is inconsistent. CH2M was recently acquired by Jacobs Eng. so there is a lot of uncertainty with job security, management changes, and shifts in company culture.

    Transportation group always has a healthy backlog of projects, flexible work time, excellent team morale, supportive colleagues.

    Cons

    Health insurance premiums are higher than premiums I paid at my former employer for the same level of coverage offered by the same insurance company.

    I have been working at CH2M full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Flexible work schedule, ability to occasionally work from home, mostly good projects, and mostly good coworkers. Good computer equipment and technical staff.

    Cons

    As previous review said, non-management engineers must be 98% billable or use PTO. When your PTO is gone, you don't get paid. New system gives you a supervisor in another city who has dozens of subordinates making you just another marble in the bowl. Run out of work and ask for more? Your ignored! Quarterly meetings with the CEO are filled with corporate babble and say nothing useful. Supervisors will hold staff meetings, smile at you, and tell you how important you are to the organization, then treat you like your nothing but a piece of outdated equipment.

    I have been working at CH2M full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Co-workers, those who are left. Flexible working conditions, including hours and location. Brand is still fairly strong in the marketplace, at least as it relates to technical capability. Reputation for solvency is another matter entirely. Clients and competitors are taking notice.

    Cons

    Executive leadership. We are in a financial bind - for a number of reasons - yet the top tier of the organization keeps growing, and growing and growing - with people who offer little value, siphon already tight sales and project budgets, and impose processes and values that are not in keeping with CH2M's little yellow book. We could save some time and simply rename the firm "Jacobs #2". The behaviors exhibited by some of these newer folks in some cases are absolutely shameful. The corporate sales org in particular is an embarrassment in its treatment of staff and its utter lack of respect for others, in general. Absolutely shameful.

    private held company whos board of directors over inflate stock price and do not realistically communicate corporate financial status to employees
