I have been working at CHG Healthcare full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

CHG is a great company to work for. We work hard and play hard. I love the core values and this company lives by their core values, including Putting People First. Our new company headquarters is an amazing place to work. I love having an onsite healthcare facility, cafeteria and gym. I also love the company focus on Making a Difference to our community as well as to other community and to the world.

    Cons

There are not many cons to working at CHG! If I had to list one, it would be that the company could have a better 401k match.

    Advice to Management

Keep living the core values and doing what you are doing to make our company great!

    Pros

What you invest in effort, you get in return. If you work hard , you can make a lot of money and enjoy perks such as gift cards, additional PTO and even reward trips to places like MAUI!

    Cons

There are none that I have .

    Advice to Management

Provide a little more training to sales consultants . Not all managers trickle down what they receive.

I worked at CHG Healthcare full-time

    Pros

CHG prides itself on its culture, and it's definitely something to be proud of. There are some very talented people in every facet of the business, and with no signs of growth slowing down anytime in the near future, it's good place to be.

    Cons

After thinking for years that the grass isn't greener on the other side, I've come to realize that simply isn't true. I'm not saying CHG isn't a great place to work, but they make you believe it's the only place. In today's world, companies are all realizing you need to have a strong culture if you want an engaged workforce, and though CHG helped pioneer this approach, they've lost sight of several important factors along...

Don't be afraid to bring people in who challenge your way of thinking. More of the same will just lead to more of the same.

    Pros

The company really does stand by it's core values and has put a lot of resources into company culture, work/life balance and career development.

    Cons

With offices across the country and some funky corporate structures it can create challenges with decision making and consistency of process that does impact progress.

    Advice to Management

Having different leadership and reporting structures within CompHealth sales teams hinders the support Business Partners try to provide and sometimes impacts the ability to deliver a good customer experience. I recommend some kind of unified CompHealth leadership team to address important business initiatives across physician/allied and perm/locums.

I have been working at CHG Healthcare full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Culture, onsite amenities, leadership, compensation depending what team you are on (this will even out in 2019 with a new compensation plan), President's Club trips, onsite health clinic, PTO/VTO, flexible scheduling, Employee Appreciation week, Making a Difference week, volunteer trips, providing healthcare to those who need it and being able to employ good doctors/work with good doctors.

    Cons

Compensation can be unfair depending on the team you land on (this should even out with a new comp plan in 2019), leaders not being held to the same standards as others, unrealistic expectations that is considered successful in your role depending on where the market of your medical specialty is, short-sightedness in expectations and lack of understanding or ability to be flexible on what you expect from your employees...

    Advice to Management

Align yourselves to your market, know where your individual employee should be in comparison to where your team is succeeding--stop expecting your employees to consistently hit the same numbers they did when your team was successful. Your team will hit highs and lows and so will your employees. It's exhausting to be held at an expectation when your own team and leadership can't even hit that expectation. It would be...

    Pros

They are very interested in making a space that put people first, employees, the community. Sometimes they cater to the sales people a little much, giving them flashy goodies to keep them interested in the job (sales is hard just like everywhere). Financial management has some awesome leaders, most listen and strive to pull together as a team. The controller meets quarterly with everyone in the accounting group quarterly...

    Cons

While leadership has made it a company policy for flex schedules, there is no interest to make any effort to encourage that - which is required for it to do that. As a recent reviewer mentioned there needs flex schedules but top down the culture frowns on it. It may be policy on paper but not in practice. Technology is a joke here. The main accounting software is green screen mainframe, DOS-like text only interface....

    Advice to Management

While putting people first is great, also keep in mind that that doesn't always mean positivity. What that creates is a company of yesmen which is worse than just an inner circle of yesmen.

    Pros

The best thing about working at CHG are the people. CHG does a good job hiring people who are positive and easy to work with. I also enjoy frequent one-on-one's with my immediate leader to keep us on the same page and help with my professional development. In addition, CHG provides a great work life balance, a huge on-site gym, game room, and an on-site cafe.

    Cons

Each team can have a slightly different culture. I am fortunate to work on a great team, but like anywhere, there are some teams that are more high stress than others.

I have been working at CHG Healthcare full-time

    Pros

Getting to work with amazing people every single day and all the amazing benefits that we are offered. Onsite health center, onsite fitness center, beautiful building and flexibility.

    Cons

Entitlement! We have a very young population and they don't feel as though they need to work for anything. Because we have amazing benefits and amenities they come to work everyday expecting everything to be done for them and I mean everything!

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and recognize when stress is becoming a problem. Be willing to implement flexible schedules. working from home even one day a week can be a game changer! Also encourage your teams to do the research, don't just expect that everything will be done for them.

Thanks for your feedback! We're committed to helping our people find a healthy balance between work and their personal life. One way we do this is through flexible schedules. Please reach out to your leader to discuss what type of flexible schedule would work for you and your team.
