      Pros

Relaxed atmosphere, not stuffy at all. People are overall kind and care about the company. Some people are territorial about sharing knowledge, but warm up once you show them you care and want to learn. Compensation is fair, maybe slightly below average. Really good benefits.

      Cons

Lack of career development. Occasional trainings are offered, but there is very limited job advancement. Managers just keep the wheels turning instead of helping employees grow and partner with them to help them advance on in their career. Some directors seem to work for their big pay checks rather than truly caring about the company and development of teams. They probably shouldn't be in their positions. Old school culture. People who've been there forever and are counterproductive. Bland and sleepy office environment.

Great place to work, good work/life balance - needs for social and cultural diversity

      Pros

Good benefits, pension, 401k match, good work/life balance, accommodating to balancing act of employees with small children

      Cons

Politically and ethnically homogoneous, flex time and work from home options are very rare, and only after you show you have special circumstances or significant time-in as an employee.

      Pros

Good benefits, stable company - lots of lifetime employees. Overall culture is focused on the farmer owners.

      Cons

Lots of lifetime employees - organizational change comes hard for these people. Management is pursuing change but doesn't always stay the course, waivers. IT has been underfunded for years as the corporate has doubled in size, and can not keep up with even simple service requests and incidents. Project portfolio management is chaotic.

      Pros

Good company. Good benefits. Don't have to worry about job security. Do your job and you have no worries.

      Cons

People are complacent. Average is par for the course. No one is looking to go above and beyond if they don't have to. Salaries are below average. If you want to be a trader in the Ag industry go work for a small company where you are working right off a p and L.

      Pros

      Good benefits and a pension

      Cons

Horrible leadership and a 1990’s mentality. No new perspective. Without recovering commodity prices there’s no way they could have weathered the storm because it’s “this worked before so it’ll continue to work mind set”. If you have any industry experience, you’ll walk in, and be amazed (in a bad way) at how they operate. If you read this and still move forward don’t say you weren’t warned.
