    Pros

Company has started some outside office events

    Cons

Very poor Management skills, very hard to progress unless you are in the inner circle, no recognition for hard work and going beyond your job description. Almost everyone is trying to look for jobs elsewhere as morale is so low. Training has only been introduced recently, before that it was learn whatever you can by yourself. No sick pay

    Advice to Management

Treat employees fair, spend more time helping those who progress, offer incentives

    Pros

good opportunities for travel if prepared to work hard, great work colleagues and customers

    Cons

sadly was such a great company that lost it's focus after multiple acquisitions and competing egos. a lot of bad feeling among staff and little regard for hard working loyalty.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget how important your customers and people are. It's a service industry.

I worked at CIBT full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Large company to work for. You have insuranc.

    Cons

The level of work the company is looking for you to do is crazy first the type of work and the volume of work you will receive in a day. Pay is too low they need to rebook at the pay scale in vacation time. It is no loyalty for employees that have worked over 2 years with the company. There's no increase in vacation time after three years working with the company. Your vacation time and sick time is all in one. It is had to get a day off. You will receive 2 days of work but you are expected to finish it in one day. It is one step up from a sweatshop they way you are treated.

    Advice to Management

Look overy your pay scale. The vacation time should increase after 5 years with the company. Please look over the type of work that we are doing and the amount of time that we have.so that employees can give great customer service. We also should receive some kind of token for the end of the year. You share with the employee thato the company made a great prophet but you don't share with your employees. The increase on an employee year review the max raise is 1% of your pay. Stop buying all these different companies up and take time to care about the front line employees. Check to see if something need to change to make your employees enjoy working and not to be so stressed out. So your turnover won't be so high.

I have been working at CIBT full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Large Global firm with good benefits. Potential to relocate around the world.

    Cons

Most of the high level positions are given to outsiders with little to no experience in this specialized field. Oppressive and unprofessional environment with very little growth opportunities offered. Poor pay.

Because they bought up all of the competition there is little reason to treat employees or customers well. VERY poor management. Good managers and employees leave quickly but many have had to come back because the companies they joined have been bought by CIBT.

    Advice to Management

Promote from within, pay enough to hire and retain good employees, stop price gouging.

I worked at CIBT (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Rapidly growing global company.
You get pay checks on time i.e. biweekly

    Cons

    IT:
Ancient technologies used and engineering is always sacrificed for speed. Senior people don't have clue on what they are doing. Lots of politics and favouritism and nepotism going on. Pay is below by 20% if not more for the area. Domain knowledge that you will gain is useless and cannot be applied anywhere.

    Company as a whole:
    Pay is terrible.
Bare minimum PTO 13 days for first 3 yrs and then 18 days a year including sick leave.
Insurance is a joke whose cost keeps on going up everyyear. Copay has gone up from 10 to $40 and lots of employees with family including myself am with Obama care because it will double the cost if i take from CIBT.

    Advice to Management

    Invest more on employees.
Increase pay so that employee feel respectable.
You guys are proud of company growing bigger but whats there for average employee ????
