I have been working at CIM Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Rare combination of Entrepreneurial atmosphere with institutional financial capacity. Fair compensation, new modern corporate office and many employee perks. Collection of very smart people. A lot of autonomy at senior levels assuming you earn trust of principals, although this may vary by department

    Cons

Experiencing growing pains in terms of instituting policies and procedures. But this is to be expected given the firm's rapid growth and success

    Advice to Management

Don't let go of that entrepreneurial spirit as the company grows and evolves. Reward and recognize strong employees, especially those who demonstrate loyalty, to limit turnover during a hot job market

    Pros

Great employee benefits. Great people in the company. Always room to grow. Feels like a large family as they really do care about you.

    Cons

Management could improve on how they handle things. A little political at times, but then again most companies are.

    Pros

Effort is being made to improve company culture via monthly birthday parties, twice annual company parties, free snacks and beverages...etc. Health insurance is decent. Salaries are very competitive because turnover is very high.

    Cons

Leadership is weak. 401k plan is below average. The company didn't invest in technology so many departments rely on unreliable, outdated accounting and property management software. Colleague interaction can be very unprofessional, misogynistic and hostile. This behavior goes unchecked and is accepted by management as industry culture. Many teams are overworked and given very limited resources. Overall the company lacks cohesion and this is directly the result of poor senior management. The location is terrible.

    Advice to Management

If you want CIM to be like a Fortune 500 company then lead it that way.

    Pros

Rapidly growing organization with many opportunities for growth.

    Cons

Growing at a rate that makes proactiveness difficult.

    Advice to Management

Provide more oversight at the property level.

    Pros

Closed on Sundays and Upper management allows you to make decisions.

    Cons

1 annual bonus, based on performance.

    Advice to Management

Bonus structure should strongly be reviewed as employees deserve and count on a quarterly bonus rather than receiving one based on your performance. Thumbs down!

    Pros

The snacks and the gym. Other than that, there's nothing positive about this company. The employees that work there are self-centered, and only care about their success. They don't care about others.

    Cons

No company culture, no teamwork, favoritism runs high. The HR department is a joke. It's a run by the most incompetent, rude, people I have ever met. The behavior of many there would not be tolerated at other companies.

    Advice to Management

You need to genuinely care about your employees. Giving them snacks isn't enough. Analyze the high turnover rate and ask your selves why? But you have to care and as long as the company is making money, I guess that's all that really matters, isn't it? You are truly dysfunctional.

    Pros

    Good benefits.
Good compensation only for investment side.

    Cons

Culture - do not value most employees. Place to get training and then leave for elsewhere.

    Pros

Maybe the office, it has a gym and great snacks. Free dinners, but they offer that so you can stay there and work. They want you to have no life!

    Cons

Nothing is good about this company. Your bosses won't talk to you until you've worked there for a few months, they treat everyone like a slave. They overwork everyone and it's never enough. The moment I started working there so many people got fired or quit within the first week. The TURNOVER is high! Whatever you do don't work there. They say they will promote you within the first year or so, it's all lies.....

    Advice to Management

Say hi/greet to your employees, don't treat them like robots. We're all human trying to improve each and everyday. By ignoring us shows that you don't have good management skills.
