I have been working at CIM Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I started as a temp in a very tough scenario, and I was treated very well by all of the many departments and senior managers that I worked with. CIM pays quite well relative to competitors in the industry. Excellent benefits, including catered dinners 4 nights per week Wellness-focused company-sponsored events Very nice office/amenities, including great catered dinners 4x week.

    Cons

Communication between departments is sometimes lacking, which causes duplication of efforts. Workload can be pretty heavy.

I have been working at CIM Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The LA corporate office (Pre-COVID) had great extras for employees: on-site gym, free snacks/beverages, dinners Mon-Thurs, EatClub, etc.

    Cons

Top leadership doesn't care about their employees and this became even more clear during the COVID crisis. Nepotism is and always will be a huge issue with this firm. Employees are promoted to manager positions based on their tenure rather than ability and skill set. Retention is terrible and upper management doesn't care - they see employees as "bodies" to fill seats. Work/life culture is terrible and non-existent - the unspoken rule of CIM "there is never a good time to take a vacation; CIM takes precedence over your family, mental health and overall well-being."

I worked at CIM Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Compensation, Benefits, PTO, nice coworkers

    Cons

All the Management Team cares about are arbitrary numbers that don't matter versus actual capital raise dollars in the door. The main office either has no idea what is going on or don't care.

I worked at CIM Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great local office environment that I helped foster.

    Cons

They only care about the bottom line; regardless of what they say in person. Too many bait and switches and smoke and mirrors.

I worked at CIM Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Free snacks and beverages, however the selection wasn't great. -Face time not required, I could disappear for hours and no one would care. Great for getting errands done. -Large amount of talented employees in different groups who were highly collaborative. -Sometimes they have the In-N-Out truck for lunch. -Given their size, they have been involved in some interesting deals. -432 Park was quite an achievement.

    Cons

-Disorganized, no real career path structure. -Pay was extremely below market. -Bad main office location -They refuse to use third-party recruiters, it made it very difficult to hire replacement hires in a timely manner. -Hired Cole Capital, a retail net-lease firm, which was perplexing. Why would they bring on a ton of additional headcount for a business that doesn't generate a great deal of revenue.
