    Pros

Compitent leadership is now in place and it appears the company is working hard to develop a positive culture. Very smart management throughout the company.

    Cons

Transition with the OneWest merger could have gone better, but things seem to be aligning.

    Advice to Management

Work on recognition of current employee's performance. Lots of great talent that do amazing work, let them know. It goes a long way.

    Pros

CIT has a lot of opportunities to move around if you are proactive. The people are great also.

    Cons

I think the company is still trying to figure out where they are going directionally and strategically.

I worked at CIT as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Laidback culture. Nice people. Very helpful in the learning curve. Management is very engaging. Information flows well through the company.

Upper management shifted several times during my internship. Integration of One West Bank shows a difference of cultures.

Give better pay to employees. Try to integrate the acquisition a little better. Focus more on the factoring side of the business.

    Pros

Good people. Good opportunity for motivated types. Things are getting better wth new CEO.

    Cons

Continuous strategy changes. Continuous stamps of layoffs. The workforce has gotten lean over the years, but the amount and speed of work have steadily grown.

    Advice to Management

Communicate more often and with more info. Default to pen - trust your employees and share the good and the bad messages. Get rid of some management layers and replace with lower cost worker bees.
