I have been working at CIT (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Hmmmm... paycheck hasn't bounced ...yet?

    Cons

Complete lack of leadership. The old group of lackies were thrown out with golden parachutes and replaced by a new, more arrogant, less engaging, tighter knit group of lackies.

Lack of vision, lack of communication, and the inability to lead. CIO took 6+ months to release org chart

I don't quite understand why there are any executives...they need to pay consulting companies millions for all decisions

    Advice to Management

Get off your high horse and engage your teams...not just a one time town hall, but every day. Seriously, most of you were out on the street before coming here

I worked at CIT full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Coast to coast presence.
    Locations convienent for commute.

    Cons

Chaotic environment with no clear vision or leadership. Constant change to org structure and need for "special projects" that just cost time and money and rarely get completed. Constantly ask for more from the employees because of dysfunctional management decisions without proper recognition of the staff in terms of comp, benefits, hours or development.

I worked at CIT full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great people I worked with. The people in Facilities were amazing. I was happy to make a positive contribution in a company that I was proud to work for.

    Cons

Bottom line is profits! I wanted to help the employees be more productive with cost saving products and simple items to save time and money.

    Advice to Management

Please look at your employees as an asset and help with retaining that talent. Many people worked really hard to make a positive experience at the company

I worked at CIT full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

if you kiss up and show up you will have a job

    Cons

finger pointing, boss talk big and if you do not kiss up you are the first on the list to go.
lot of we have to do this but no one does it

    Advice to Management

sell out and call it a day

    Pros

Chicago office is a friendly environment, centrally located near union station. Pay and benefits are good. Pay is based off of New York cost of living. Great location if you live in the city.

    Cons

Certain systems are outdated and without IT presence, conducting certain job related tasks takes up a lot more time than it should. Otherwise, have not had a negative experience.

    Advice to Management

With cost cutting initiatives they should really look into remote work platforms. Most job functions can be performed remotely and the cost of leasing an office in downtown Chicago appears to outweigh the benefit.

I worked at CIT full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Extremely flexible approach toward call handling: no call length requirements. If you can find a creative way to explain a customer's situation to them, and it resolves the situation, take your time.

    Cons

Not much opportunity for advancement if you stay in the call center, but it's a tight group, and it's reliable $46k cashflow if you can meet your metrics.

    Advice to Management

I don't have any advice to provide. As I have yet to represent any managerial position, I can't make any recommendations.
