Couldn't ask for a better group of owners. They all worked their way up from the bottom. They know what it takes to succeed.

I worked at CIT Trucks full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The values of the owners is amazing and I wish every level of management lived that vision out to their branches.

    Cons

No room for growth, the core families are in top positions and everyone else gets very limited opportunities for advancement.

    Pros

Everyone in the accounting department is great and very friendly. Very team oriented environment.

Despite the great accounting department, it's all overshadowed by the stubborn, sensitive CFO

    Pros

Financially sound operation with a great future. Dealerships are clean and inventory, staffing and service equipment levels are adequate, providing the customer with a good experience and reducing stress on the employees. Pay is high enough to attract talent but not high enough to retain exceptional employees.

    Cons

Combination of multiple OEM and aftermarket vendors hurt efficiency and create unnecessary stress on employees.

    Advice to Management

Trim the number of vendors for aftermarket parts and develop merchandising consistencies across locations. This will build a stronger brand and deliver a better customer experience. Develop a visual experience for the driver that says "Welcome to CIT" no matter which location they enter.
Also, make the employee performance review process deadlines non-negotiable. Missing deadlines for performance reviews and related compensation adjustments sends a message to employees that they are not respected.

    Pros

Great environment. Very safety focused. All the latest tools available for diagnostics. Great coworker team atmosphere. Company paid dealer training.

    Cons

Second shift availability only with very slim chance of moving up to first trip. Starting pay was on the lower end of competitive.
