    Pros

-good experience for medical field -really long hours so it'll prep you if you want to work in a hospital setting -training very thorough -for the most part everyone is great to work with -good for promotion into management

    Cons

-whatever you do, do not get their insurance unless you don't want to have money for your basic needs of groceries and bills (have literally cried over dealing with the insurance and the amount of times I've had to choose between basic needs and just paying off what insurance doesn't cover which is nothing. speaking of which being seen at citymd is not free) -when patients are being difficult expect to not be backed up by management (well depending on your site) -expect not to have answers for basic billing questions that patients constantly ask because the go to answer is "it's a fluid situation, the state still has still not given us those answers" (especially when it comes to Covid) -favoritism with certain sites or managers/people -and i can not stress enough none of their benefits are worth it except for commuter benefits and somewhat 401k -when hours are normal expect to be there until 9pm or later if you work at a super site..but you still have to make sure everything is still set for the next day or expect to be chewed out for it the next day (so really 13 hour work day)

Great medical experience for scribe position who wants to pursue MD career

Jun 4, 2018 - Medical Scribe in New York, NY

    Pros

Hands on, up close and personal medical experience where you get to be doctor's right wing man/woman on everything that occurs inside the visit from charting to assisting with procedures to exchanging ideas about charts/diagnoses.

    Cons

Too many long hours with challenging patients where at times management does not level with you on your struggle. Moving up into the company seems that it leans towards biased ideas on people...I saw a lot of favorism on people who didn't deserve promotions. Also wished they paid more for the amount of work that is expected of us.
