Patient Financial Services REP 4

I am looking into doing the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Cert. Tell me if it’s worth it please! I don’t have my BS yet and I’m hoping it will help me progress. I’ve seen some pricey training programs and can anyone recommend a good program, preferably online.

    Pros

A great job for someone who is looking to get into the medical field as Patient Care Representative, Scribe or X-Ray technician. The company sends you to paid training for PCR or Scribe. Salary is not that great but a good stepping stone into the medical field. All sites provide their employees with free snacks, coffee, tea and they buy breakfast or lunch for staff to show their appreciation.

    Cons

The salary could be a little higher they start you off with $16 as a Patient Care Representative

Was a good company to work for

    Pros

Good place to work for new techs just starting fresh out of school Work load is light / not overwhelming Lots of overtime available, which compensates for the very low hourly pay rate ( $20 )

    Cons

No Union & no job security, one can be fired or terminated at anytime without any written or verbal warning of any kind. Company has expanded to fast to soon resulting in hiring of managers with lack of knowledge in the medical field. Company does not value or appreciate employees that go above & beyond No loyalty for employees that have been there since when the company started Only care about the quantity of patients they see HR is a joke, useless Pray the manager & GM likes you, if interested in transferring to a closer site or being promoted They are losing many employees due to quitting or fired, not taking into consideration that employees have family & kids to care for

    Managers are incompetent

    Pros

decent learning experience if you’re interested in the healthcare field and want some exposure to it

    Cons

Managers aren’t willing to work with you, and are often on power trips and micromanage employees. They like to be right at the cost of your sanity. Higher ups won’t make an effort to listen to you and you’ll often be looked over. It can be very frustrating and has affected several of my coworkers’ mental health as well as my own. I don’t think the pros outweigh the benefits, and would suggest looking elsewhere if there are other opportunities. There is very high turnover for a reason, particularly at certain NJ locations.

    Pros

Corporate office was clean, provided employees with nice morning breakfast snacks as perks.

    Cons

Very political, management has a few key executive leadership they will listen to, they don't listen the actual subject matter experts in their field. Too many negotiated perks at the top, makes for an environment of non contributors.
