      Pros

Great place for work especially for those looking to gain healthcare experience.

      Cons

The transition point can be rough at first. Pay is great for medical scribes in general but it doesnt seem adequate with the heavy workloads

      HORRIBLE STAY AWAY

      Pros

Lots of patient interaction, you also get some paid time off

      Cons

Horrible management Lots of work for the amount of pay Just 2 30 min breaks per 12 hr shift Doctors and PAs are rude and constantly throw their work at you. CITYMD wants you to RUN through patients. This hinders quality of care They barely train you, especially with COVID and expect you to know everything, which is unfair Senior scribe who trains on site assumes you know everything and just throws you in with a patient by yourself. This was unfair considering we were not able to physically do any procedures on anyone during academy. Also, “superiors” think they can talk down to you, yell, or be rude to you just because you are new Academy is intense- you need to pass or youre fired

      Good Experience vs Glaring Cons

      Jan 8, 2021 - Medical Scribe

      Pros

Great Medical Experience, meet Doctors from a variety of focuses and sectors

      Cons

Managements expectations are unrealistic and there are no conversations had on what’s reasonably feasible for the team. The scribes and PCRs don’t hold much of any power and are expected to make their superiors looks good.

      Xray @ CityMD - Great

Sep 8, 2020 - Radiologic Technologist in New York, NY

      Business Outlook

      Pros

The pros to working at citymd as a xray tech is the unlimited amount of overtime available, the snacks in the break room, the 12 hour shifts which allows you to work 3-4 days per week, and the close interactions you get to nourish and watch grow with doctors, scribes, managers, pcrs, and ma's.

      Cons

The cons to working at citymd as a xray tech would be the limited amount of practice you get here oppose to the hospital, being moved to another site because of others need, and depending on how busy your site is you may feel tired due to the long hour shift.

Great learning experience, terrible management, low compensation

      Pros

It is a great stepping-stone for those who want hands-on experience with patient care and seek to enter health-related professional programs

      Cons

management does not care about your personal or professional success, doctors are condescending and are not always willing to teach or give insight on medicine as a career, you will never get out on time, as a scribe you have the greatest workload, I have never received a performance-review, I believe in my skillset and thus I am not concerned about the quality of my work but most of the people are winging it

      Pros

Experience, Exposure, Opportunity and Responsibility. This job is great for anyone who wants to grow as a HC professional or administrator.

      Cons

Pay, Demands, You're basically there to make everyone else's job easier and you have to a accept that and just do it and they'll be good to you sometimes but if they're not...like its still your job to make everyone else's life easier so as a scribe just know that and accept that and be good at it and happy to do it or else it won't work.

      Pros

      great hands-on patient care experience

      Cons

poor work compensation, treat employees as if they are worth nothing, unsafe work conditions, poor management, money-driven rather than patient-driven, COVID-19 requirements are unsafe to scribes to be swabbing
