    Pros

Good benefits on paper Some coworkers are great, NOT all

    Cons

Too strict Below average pay Corporate politics Micromanaging Overworked Dishonest in interview process

    Advice to Management

Let your employees be who they are and say what they feel. Support them. Uplift them. Be flexible. In the end, that's how you can find out the best in them.

    Pros

Great place to start your career and build a foundation in digital marketing. -Overall great people to work with -Good benefits -Great training and learning opportunities

    Cons

-Management. Upper management has been at the helm for a few years but still has little grasp of the dynamics of the business. Decisions are issued and retracted quickly. Aggressive personalities make it difficult to have a constructive discussion about the path forward. You essentially need to get in everyone's face to advance your ideas. This in turn leads to similar personalities getting promoted and the cycle continues....

    Pros

    - Great place to start your career. - Tons of training, and they ease you into actual work slowly, allowing plenty of time to familiarize yourself. - The people at CJ are great. My former department, Client Integrations, had some of the best people I'll probably ever meet in my career. - Pretty good benefits.

    Cons

    - Below industry average pay. - You will loaded up with what was in my opinion very underwhelming work. In my department, Client Integrations, I can tell you that calling it "engineering" as the title suggests is a long shot. Every single solution you look at is designed for you already, with only minor details needing to be worked out. It's technical consulting packaged into an attractive title. - But don't worry...

    Advice to Management

My advice to any management reading this would be to care more about the day to day work your employees do, and care more about how they envision their future. Regardless of which department you're coming from, it's unlikely your staff see the role they're in as the last in their career. Specifically to the Client Integrations department - if you want to maintain technical talent, you need to find a way to make the day...

I worked at CJ Affiliate by Conversant full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Used to have a good culture where everyone was collaborative. Generally nice people. Tries to maintain good benefits and budgets money and time for teams to have fun together.

    Cons

The company literally and figuratively has no vision. Strategy is driven by the loudest client threatening to leave which leads to a constant state of scrambling. There is a dog-eat-dog culture of open disrespect and this is slowly driving out all of the high-performers. Low-performers are allowed to stay for many years without contributing and barely showing up enough to do their jobs. The leadership team is comprised...

    Advice to Management

Focus on core offering rather than bright shiny objects to bring more in line with the competition. Also don't forget about retaining good employees in the process. Retention isn't always about money (though that can significantly improve) but is often about fostering a healthy work environment where nobody feels attacked in their jobs.

    Pros

~The people. I worked with intelligent, kind, compassionate, witty, interesting people. There are always bad apples, of course, but overall, I can't say enough about the people at CJ. ~Good benefits package. ~Interesting industry. Always learning new things. ~Work hard, play hard.

    Cons

~Like every industry, the affiliate industry has its quirks, so sometimes work involves schmoozing semi-sleazy people.

    Advice to Management

Articulate the bigger picture better. Drop the silly project code names, and tell us what it REALLY means.

    Pros

Young & energetic culture, good benefits, fun events, like to promote from within

    Cons

Steep learning curve with little training, company is undergoing lots of change

    Advice to Management

Implement better training for employees. Communicate better and more frequently to all employees, not just management and higher-ups.

Great people, many opportunities to advance or move departments, very good benefits, and many learning opportunities. Recommend as a place to work with many great, smart people, and to become knowledgeable in affiliate marketing. There are many resources available, the departments work well together, and the help from teammates is typically above par. The company events for employees are fun, and it is a young people...
