Pros
- unlimited PTO (never had a request denied) - Paid Coffee Connections with co-workers - lots of free catering (lunch, breakfast, and dinner) - great disability accommodation process - great office culture, very chatty - lot's of exposure to leadership - great expense reimbursement - office is always fully stocked with supplies you may need/want
Cons
- leadership spread out across three offices, hard to nail down sometimes - lots of people wearing multiple hats on Internal Operations and Billing side - interns are paid more than some of our full time staff

Pros
Benefits, learning platform has a diverse set of courses, career coaching
Cons
Approach joining CLA with caution, as I had high hopes for a promising career but encountered silent firings and high turnover rates. There're several reviews highlighting this issue and I wish I had taken those warnings more seriously before accepting a job with this company. I relocated across the states for this position, CLA did not provide any relocation assistance. In less than 6 months, I was abruptly let go off with no prior notice and a reason of "you are not a right fit". This happened right before I became a chair of a committee, took on a project, and received positive feedbacks. that didn't stop me from being let go without any prior notice or a clear reason for the decision. Looking back, it's evident that management was overwhelmed, with no time for questions or support. CLA might not be the place for those seeking a supportive, fast-paced, and growth-oriented workplace. The atmosphere seemed a little depressed and stressful. Please consider the advice from previous reviews and tread carefully before making a commitment to this company.

Pros
Benefits, people, useful training courses.
Cons
To those reading this review, please be aware of the firm’s high employee turnover rate! Throughout the year, the top managements kept assuring that they do not plan on laying off their employees because that is who they are. But guess what? They could not keep their promises. Therefore, I am writing this review because I wanted to express my concern and disappointment regarding the recent mass layoff at this firm. The abrupt nature of the workforce reduction has left many employees, including myself, in a state of distress. The timing of the layoff process seemed rushed and no prior notices were given to any of the affected employees. With that said, if you are planning on being committed to this company, you should expect to be let go off at anytime without any warnings even if they promise you they won’t.

Pros
They are flexible with PTO, meaning if you need to leave for anything you can or if you need time off you can take it. However, be wise and don’t abuse this privilege. I watched too many people during my time there take advantage of it.
Cons
They talk of family way too much, and being all inclusive of which they are not. I have watched them treat people in ways I would never treat my family or even a stray animal, so you have been warned. There have been many to leave for this very reason. They also believe a lot in the quiet/silent firing technique. What I mean by that is, one minute you will see someone and 5 minutes later that person has had their world turned upside down in a conference room somewhere and you knew nothing about it until you receive an email telling you they are no longer with the company.

Pros
A few people were nice? But they quickly left due to the high turnover rate
Cons
First they told me I would work in Audit and then stuck me in tax Then they told me that I would work crazy hours during busy season (expected) but it then light hours the rest of the year (lies) They give you loads of independent work and impossible deadlines when you don’t even know the system Zero work life balance, I got calls at 4am about returns. Can’t forget the racism. Was asked some pretty crazy questions and then constantly compared to the only other POC who worked there (which was 5 years ago) Oh also do not trust the positive reviews on here or Google. They “ask” current employees to go and give them positive reviews on both.

Pros
benefits, extent of clients, and nothing else
Cons
I would exercise caution when joining this company. I joined recently and I was let go for unknown reasons and when I went to go seek feedback I was told specific items that didn't apply to me. They talk about family and no one has your back. They scheduled time to talk a day before and let me go. They didn't care about developing me, or giving me any consideration on letting me know of any potential issues. This place is a turnover firm and if not, they will let you go without cause. This comes with the territory of at will employment but I would stay away

Pros
It is employment. Can confirm you will get a check.
Cons
The amount of tedious bs and hoops you have to jump through will provide excellent motivation to find other employment. So not really even a con.
- 3.0Dec 3, 2023CoordinatorFormer Employee, less than 1 yearBoston, MA
Pros
Good co-workers to work with and receive support from other team members
Cons
Management lack of support, overworked for salary below market rate
- 1.0Aug 5, 2023Staff AccountantFormer Employee, more than 1 year
Pros
There exist some great staff that help you learn, grow and are inclusive.
Cons
Pay is low when the “Budget Hours” are 2400+/yr. BizOps is undervalued and it shows in many ways. The “unlimited PTO” does not offset your “charge hours.” Each month we’re assigned the charge hours we are to meet EX- June 180hrs and you plan a summer vacation for 40hrs expectation is that you meet your budget; YTD hrs as of May should have a 40hr overage and/or work 220hr of charge time in June. If you fall behind on your budget you are literally Red Listed by those that don’t work with you but have all the control of your pay/future in the organization. Work/life balance is rarely attained and normally only with a large ay cut that affect benefit coverage. Work expectations are set higher and normally reserved for upper management. There’s a lot of smoke and mirrors but each office/region has a different culture and set of values - not a standard throughout. Same is said on process standardization.

Pros
Flexible when you need last minute changes or have to go to appointment. The staff are all nice and the PTO is great
Cons
Busy season hours are long and stressful, but that is typical of public accounting.
