    Pros

    The starting pay is decent, and the benefits package is pretty good. I met some pretty cool people there. I also learned a lot about working in a corporate environment.

    Cons

    This is the most political place I have ever worked. If you don't have an inside person to pull some strings for you, then your career advancement is null. The atmosphere is constantly negative and stressful. The employees don't get praise for good work, but rather the management is quick to point out negative feedback only. Also, there is a lot of favoritism shown to certain employees, and special benefits are given to those employees. The management has no professionalism. Deception is somewhat expected of management and reinforced by the corporate culture.

    Advice to Management

    Offer a balanced approach to feedback, and teach management how to be managers and take care of all of their people, not just their favorites.

    Pros

    Great benefits and paid time off. (These two factors are probably the only things keeping 95% of the employees they have).

    Cons

    Pay is low for most positions. Undeserving people are regularly rewarded, even after making costly and time consuming mistakes. Management will say horrible things about their employees behind their backs rather than addressing the issue with the employee. Little room for advancement. Management plays favorites. Egos run rampant, especially amongst supervisors.

    Advice to Management

    Stop rewarding incompetence and ignoring childish behavior. Don't make employees feel guilty for using their PTO. Don't ask for your employees opinions and then ignore them. If you actually listened and took appropriate action - your employees might start to respect you.

    I have been working at CMA CGM America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    let me think about...no pros

    Cons

    bad micromanagement, very stressful environment, no human values. They describe so well the company at the interview and then you find that they don`t have a background to sustain their lies.

    Advice to Management

    management should try to respect human beings and try to be professionals.
