I have been working at CMA CGM America (More than a year)

    Pros

Room to expand knowledge and gain experience to move up in the company. They are plenty willing to work to your expertise and get you in a job that meets your particular skills.

    Cons

Does not typically require overtime but during busy seasons many departments have mandatory overtime.

    Advice to Management

Ensure that inter-departmental communication is increased. Many functions are compartmentalized and function separately without any knowledge of what others do. This can be dangerous with customers having to repeat to multiple departments what was already discussed.

I have been working at CMA CGM America full-time

    Pros

The benefits package is unbelievably robust with very little out of pocket costs. Provides more PTO and Holidays than all other companies I've worked for in the past. The new hire training is educational and welcoming. It makes you feel like you are part of a great company.

    Cons

Traffic getting out of the business park is heavy and moves slow at the end of the day.

    Pros

Great morale among the employees and executives. It's a great place if you have kids and want to stay healthy. There are many activities that cater to this.

    Cons

The opportunity for growth should be available sooner. The time frame to move to other departments was a bit extensive.

    Advice to Management

Keep employees advised of any issues. Feedback from management often helped me to advance in my position. The lines of communication should stay open.
