    Pros

    Good pay and benefits. Onsite food and workout equipment. Tended to employees needs

    Management didn't want to help train and it was hard to move up in the company.

    Very good benefits, accrue plenty of PTO very quickly

    Cons

    Too much work for for the "lesser" employees, customer service and other departments are always working when everyone else has off yet get paid the least

    Pay more attention to the employees who make your company run.

    I worked at CMA CGM America (More than a year)

    Pros

    CMA CGM provides excellent benefits and PTO to its employees. Their employees are all very friendly and helpful with a team sense within the departments as well as the company. A good company if you want to make a career in the shipping industry.

    Cons

    A lot of room for movement and professional development within the company, however, much of the availability for movement was lateral with the vertical movement having tenure based requirements that felt stifling, especially financially.

    Advice to Management

    Invest more of your profits back into your company with higher compensation. Allow employees with certain KPI and management approval to apply for and be considered for jobs with tenure based requirements regardless of length of time with company.

    big company, great travel and opportunity, excellent sales structure

    Cons

    operationally stagnant...dinosaur, good luck getting anything new, done. Focus is on meeting ops requirements, not customer-centric. Unfriendly operations versus sales atmosphere.

    be more client oriented, work to change to meet market demands and respond to ideas of your sales team

    Pros

    CMA knows how to take care of their employees. They provide great benefits, company activities, and provide room for growth to an extent.

    Cons

    Company values degree over experience which i guess can be said for most large companies.

    Advice to Management

    Start pay on the middle to top end of the pay scale for your experienced or loyal employees instead of the bottom
