    The benefits are whats keeping ppl at the company, the PTO mainly.

    Cons

    Everything else: Whether you have a good time or bad time at the company depends on your mgr and dept entirely. Theres really no dept that offers sufficient training, ive had training for 2 days up to 2 weeks max in dif depts while it takes you about 3 month to learn the jobs on avg..... obviously slowed down by the lack of training. Lots of ppl working there arent doing their job or have attitude w everyone. Every direct customer service dept is HELL, do not go into import/export or the equipment teams! Youll be yelled at 24/7 by customers and theres no guidelines from the company on shielding their employees from the customer abuse. They bend over for every single customer, so u get cussed out and yelled at every few minutes for something thats not even your job. At the same time customers are not trained by the company on wt they can do themselves online or how any process works so they think any person they talk to can resolve whatever issue they have, adding to their frustration when you tell them that you reached out to another dept for solution to their problem. Theres not enough staffing in those teams and the work-from-home policies depend on your mgr, instead of being set by the company, so you may get screwed with an impractical schedule for child care or such. Depts that dont have to deal with direct customer service are a completely dif level and actually enjoyable. Suddenly theres enough staff, enough money, enough time for extra curricular activities, its like being at a real grown up company. Those depts are: Procurement, haz dept, HR, Trade (sometimes), billing, accounting, etc. Most mgrs are bad in the company! I worked in 3 depts, had 1 excellent mgr, 1 medicore n 1 horrible one. Most dept heads r not great and have no idea how to manage a team, nor how to lead and communicate, nor being interested in advancing their ppl or training them. Most ppl leave due to bad management and turn-over is huge.......... Work-from-home: The company prides itself to "generously" allow ppl to wfh certain days in a week (or weeks if ur dept is on a weekly or monthly rotation), not understanding that most companies are going completely remote and all the jobs in the company can be done from anywhere since they only require a computer and phone (through your pc). They hold the wfh as pond and every dept has their own schedule of wfh days, which is completely retarded as some dept luck out and others have to endure a bs schedule not fitting their families needs. "Its the CMA way" is a company wide slogan used anytime something or someone messes up, and that tells you everything about the company right there...

    Pros

    There is a great community at CMA, and they do their best with empty platitudes to make you feel good while working there.

    Cons

    CMA-CGM does not have competitive pay nor growth opportunities for rising stars. Nearly everyone who has the ability to get picked up by more competitive companies leave. I was able to get DOUBLE my salary at another company doing the same thing.

    Benefits and PTO are great.

    Cons

    Extremely high stress/fast paced. Vet your mgmt the same as they do you. There's some people in mid level mgmt that shouldn't be.
