I have been working at CME Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The best part of CME is the welcoming culture and support for the learning process. If you are a 'learner', this is the best place for you in London!!

    Cons

Nothing, really - just think if were a bit diverse it would have been better, still I would rate it 8/10 based on my experience

I worked at CME Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Money, travel. There are no other real pluses. It's a difficult and political place to work. The list goes on and on.

    Cons

    Too many useless meetings
    Not enough decision making
    Back stabbing culture
    Constant layoffs
    Unqualified individuals in key positions
    Nepotism is rife
    America centric
American staff fish out of water in foreign jurisdictions
Interfering and unhelpful HR. They have their own agenda, protect the company and their jobs and don't help staff

    Advice to Management

This company makes hundreds of millions a year in net profit and always will. It's a monopoly. Stop worrying about how you want to run the company. It runs itself if you just let people get on with their jobs and stop interfering.

    Pros

Nice office in london; there are some smart competent people; depends on what team you are in - if the team leader is good, it can be an enjoyable place to work

    Cons

However, if you get a horrific manager, you life could be like a hell. Don't count on HR as they are clearly onesided in order to keep their jobs.

    Advice to Management

Change HR and introduce a fair work environment
