I worked at CMG Financial full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Work hours flexible, work from home, good benefits

    Cons

No annual reviews or pay increases. Unless you are family or one of the favorites, it's very difficult to gain more responsibilities or move up in the company, even after they tell you it's going to happen. Management always makes excuses for why after they tell you that you will be given more responsibilities that it never actually happens. Very frustrating to never know where...

    Advice to Management

Do annual reviews for your employees so they know where they stand, know what they need to improve on and what expectations are. Follow thru on verbal commitments made and make employees feel valued. (all employees, not just the favorites.)

Performance Management is a priority for the Human Resources Department and CMG. We are currently looking into several processes and hope to have one in place very soon.

I have been working at CMG Financial full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Opportunity to work tough files and hone skill of getting a loan approved. It's an income source.

    Cons

No annual review nor salary adjustments. Management displays gross disparity to employees, if you are not a personal friend or family member, not much potential for growth opportunities. Company location is sub-par as building needs updates, no cafeteria or deli nor vending machine and distance to restaurants eat up lunch break.

I have been working at CMG Financial full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

    - Potlucks - Birthday Potlucks - Holiday Potlucks - Competitive starting salary

    Cons

    - No work/life balance (for the past year many people on my team have been working overtime...lots and nights and weekends spent away from my family to make sure things are being processed and deadlines met) - No senior management support (lack of senior management attention to hiring qualified candidates and retention of existing staff) - No performance plan (no formal performance plan in place, therefore no...

    Advice to Management

Provide a better work/life balance. Hire and retain qualified candidates so you don't overwork the existing ones you have. Conduct performance reviews and give merit increases based on performance. Provide training to new hires (high turnover due to lack of training in the beginning) and provide ongoing training on regulation changes.
