I have been working at CMG full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Work with some of the top corporate clients in the world. Planes, Cars, trains...most of the business year. Very good job for those who don't need micro managing. Keeping clients happy and generating new projects to keep business coming into this multi media marketing firm is a big part of the job.

    Cons

On the road 266 day a year. There would be additional days, but had to draw the line. Company looks for management and directors to be the face of the company. That being said. I have to do the work of six people on many projects. Not cost effective to have an entire team visiting corporate headquarters on projects.
Traveling is a MAJOR part of the job. This gets old after the first five years.

    Advice to Management

Hire and send out full teams. There are other people out in the world that can be trusted and do the same good job that the four of us do now. YES, seeing the clients is a good thing, but there are webinars, conference calls and other means of working on projects. Excessive travel for a handful of key managers/directors will eventually exhaust your most important management crew. Other executives will work just as hard, bring in new business and can be trusted.
Everyone no matter what their career choice can be replaced...I promise.

I have been working at CMG full-time

    Pros

They are supportive, right-minded, smart and generous.

    Cons

The only thing that could benefit employees would be to have an opportunity to move up the ladder...it is more of a horizontal management structure.

    Advice to Management

None, they know what they are doing!
