I worked at CMIE full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great work life balance. Only during Quarter/year end will have to wait back a bit.
Saturday Sunday off. But management was thinking of keeping work on saturday as well
Great salary if you are really really good. But that almost never happens. Otherwise salary is still decent.
Only good for freshers to learn and leave within a year or two.
You can get immense knowledge from the company's products which can help you in your future career but you have to do this in your time.
    Nice Infrastructure and washroom.

    Cons

No HR. No canteen. High Attrition. Most people hate the job.
People working in company for 4-5 years can be also be fired anytime even if you do your job well so no job security (Cost cutting)
No public Holidays. Only 3 holidays in a year (Independence day, Republic and Diwali). Paid leaves are very low in the start (11.5) but increases every year you work there. But as usual its bad if you actually take your leaves.
Hike determined by CEO and your product manager. You have no say in it.
Unless seniors are exceptionally good they will get fired as new freshers will take their place.
CEO and Management brings new changes in work on trial basis and then later after few months scraps the entire thing. This has happened so many times.

You cant talk loudly during breaks, you cant laugh loudly but its ok if the product heads do it. They even broke down the pantry door so that people do not disturb others by talking loudly in the pantry. What an amazing logic.

Whatever you write in your article is never ever good. If you listen to your seniors and make changes in the article based on their advice, even that isn't good.

    Advice to Management

CMIE is a very good company and can grow into much bigger one than it is now.
Respect the freshers/juniors as everyone cannot know how to do this job at the start. So improve training quality and teach freshers. Give more freedom to employees to have fun as well. They are not slaves who just have to work full time.

I worked at CMIE full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    No Pros. Except for one--
It is not only you who will suffer but you'll get people who will share the same pain with you. This'll make you feel a little better that you are not alone in the PIT ;)

    Cons

    BIGGEST CON-- NO HR
The team that I worked for was so damn pathetic.
Never ever should a fresher join this company.
They make you feel that you know nothing.
How much ever you do, it'll be less.
    Zero support from seniors
Biased. Aur politics toh koot koot ke bhari hui hai.
If you write A, they ask for B and when you write B they ask you to write A. And when you write both, they ask you to write C.
No standardized procedure of doing work. Suddenly they'll feel your english is bad.
Most imp- No JOB SECURITY. A confirmed employee can also be kicked out of the job.
All the heads of different teams will form a group in the morning, afternoon and before leaving i.e evening. In short, they don't take break while working, but they work for 5-10 minutes in between their breaks.
Hell lot of improvement is needed.

Sincere advice- join the company if you are ready to take risk and would like to work in the fear of losing your job all the time.

    Advice to Management

Please respect you juniors. They have got raw minds, so use their ideas and work instead of using your used and useless brains.

I worked at CMIE full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    1. Manageable work load and timings, weekends are holidays..at least for now
    2. Good as a startup job, opportunity to learn for a fresher

    Cons

1.No defined HR policies with respect to employee appraisal, salary hikes, all depends on your negotiation and perception about you.
2.Business is owned by family and run according to whims and fancies of the CEO who is also a family member.
3.Bad work culture and zero job security, I have seen colleagues getting sacked on the spot, views of senior managers are biased.

    Pros

Finance team's manager is really really helpful.
    Very down to earth.
    Colleagues were also very helpful.
CEO is an amazing person and you can approach him without taking permission from your manager.
He will directly work with you, if required.
Good for those people who are pursuing some other courses simultaneously as you have a lot of time to study your own syllabus.
If you are a newspaper lover , Congo you will get variety of newspapers and time to read them.

    Cons

    Low salary, less work.
May be these are the major reasons that people leave this company.
There is no motivation to work as there are no incentives.

    Advice to Management

Salary and work are two important things for a professional.
Both are not up to mark.
You need to work on both of these aspects .
Managers need to concentrate on the work rather than discussing weakness of all the employees in their respective teams.
Finance team's manager is a nice lady.

I worked at CMIE full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I don't think there is any reason to work in the company.

    Cons

There are thousands of cons in the company. If I will start writing now then it will take a full month for this.
Every morning CEO of the company woke up and changes the mentality. He suddenly decided to shut the Jaipur branch and many people got unemployed. Company is having no processes. One CEO is ruling the company even he wants that every employee should agree with his statement either he is wrong or right but the thing is that he is always wrong.
He likes the people who says Yes sir Yes sir. The CEO have no brain to think what is right or wrong. One day he is saying this thing, and another next day he is saying totally different thing. Company is not having Any hr department. Only CEO decides that where employees can sit and he even decides that other employees should say in meeting. No independence nothing.
    Pathetic
