    Pros

Learning the many different facets of electrical issues on the many different locomotives in the fleet. The various systems on a locomotive will enhance your electrical experience

    Cons

Very little training and an employer who will fire you whether you deserve it or not despite all the past work you have done

    Advice to Management

Train your employees and stop trying to make them scapegoats when something goes wrong

    Positive Outlook
    Approves of CEO

I worked at CN full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Fair pay, saftey is often mentioned, usually considered. Steady work. Good pension, acceptable benifits.

    Cons

Poorly trained staff, weak lower level managment, young inexperienced workforce. Terrible days off/hours. Mediocre training program run as slow as possible.

    Advice to Management

The relationship between union workers and managment is terrible. Quotas for disciplinary reports are ridiculous. expecting unlimited overtime from managment without any pay leaves competent employees looking elsewhere to advance their careers.
