I have been working at CNA full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexibility with working from home. People are generally nice and there is a lot of independence. 401k is pretty good.

    Cons

Unreasonable amount of work, especially since Chubb has invaded CNA. Too many files make it impossible to give the service that is expected.

    Pros

I have worked at this company for 1.5years and see commitment to growth and development of employees. I am excited for the future.

    Cons

The coming tech upgrades are a big help with changes and modernization of company software coming down the pike. Wish they would hurry up .

    Advice to Management

The management team is new and appears to be open to change that will result in increased profitt. The balance between intense underwriting and sales appetite needs to be calibrated...

    Pros

Great culture, great work life balance. Company promotes at a decent pace and there are many opportunities for those in finance.

    Cons

Occasionally too much movement between departments. Quite a few lateral movements, once someone becomes a subject matter expert they are moved to a new department. Seems like always re-training employees for same job.

    Advice to Management

Too much movement between departments. Need to allow people to become experts. Overall great company, competitive salaries, etc. otherwise.

I worked at CNA (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everyone goes out of their way to meet you. It's very easy to move internally, as CNA encourages mobility from one area to another.

    Cons

CNA seemed to have a defeated feel. No one truly seemed excited with the work that they were doing. It also felt like we were way behind in terms of technology and design.
