I have been working at CNA full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexibility with working from home. People are generally nice and there is a lot of independence. 401k is pretty good.

    Cons

Unreasonable amount of work, especially since Chubb has invaded CNA. Too many files make it impossible to give the service that is expected.

I have been working at CNA full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Paid holidays and time off

    Cons

Do not value their employees which causes good employees to leave. Employee morale is the lowest I've seen in 17 yrs. Extensive outsourcing. Management needs serious help.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees. Promote from within. Stop outsourcing. Bring back work from home. Don't just talk about your plans for morale follow through with action.

I worked at CNA full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

CNA pays really well. There are a few really great people there.

    Cons

While there are a few really great people there, they are hard to find. Most employees are concerned about their titles. It's a lot of people that have the title AVP and VP. They think they are really important too. Promotions are not so much about what you know but who likes you.

The HR department uses outdated systems. You find very few people of color in leadership positions. HR Policy needs an entire overhaul. Employee Relations can't even tell you why many of the policies are in place.

This place does not like happy or friendly people. Learning and Development department is an absolute joke because good training is rare.

    Advice to Management

It's time for a culture change.
