I have been working at CNH Capital America full-time

    Pros

-Pro-active management with a desire for their employees to succeed
-If you work well and consistent, you fit in.

    Cons

-My job is mostly secure, but limited upwards potential in my division keeps me looking around for something more.
-Going on several years without a cost of living raise.
-Received a promotion but pay increase bumped against the intra-company policy that says cannot receive more than a 10% raise with any promotion. I am an above-average performer in my department but my salary is not even at the median of the pay grade I am at.

    Advice to Management

-The limit/quota on employees who can get in the "green box" (and likewise qualify for a raise)within a department paralyzes the improvement of morale.

I worked at CNH Capital America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Generally good people who care. Company presence in Racine makes it attractive place to work.

    Cons

Homegrown talent. No training or mentoring. Few well educated. HR is an embarrassment as a support service. Technology is obsolete and inefficient. Only vision for real change is coming from Burr Ridge. This is the only part of the organization to consider working with.

    Advice to Management

Bierman has not been the CEO for years. This is the type of attention to detail that demonstrates CNH Capital's lack of industry leadership.

    Pros

Virtually none and I mean zero.

    Cons

    Poor management, poor human resources.

    Advice to Management

Respect your employees and they will be loyal. Poor management leads to turnover and a poor workforce.

I have been working at CNH Capital America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Nice facilities, gym discount, cafeteria

    Cons

No cost of living increases in pay

Promote within to the point that none of management have ever worked anywhere else and dont realize how bad it is and accept it as normal.

I have seen them MAKE people retire after 40 years service with out even a cake and a card good bye.

Do not promote based on the best applicant

    Extremely hard to get promoted

No bonuses since I have been there

Performance reviews that serve no purpose with managment unable to address questions.

    Pros

The folks that do the job each and every day.

    Cons

HR, SR. Staff, Silos, Self interest, wasteful and in certain cases, dishonest.

    Advice to Management

Find another Company and actually lives and breathes their core value statement

    Pros

Worked with great people, all different backgrounds and experience. It is common to work with different business units, which provided a good understanding on the business. The pay is good but increase in pay is not typical unless being promoted to a new position, however, there is opportunity for advancement due to size of company. Great benefits!

    Cons

    Some outdated systems
    Minimal training opportunities

    Pros

Good stepping stone for career and resume, benefits and pay good,

    Cons

Less employee family feeling since Fiat became owners, budget more important than customer service that made them successful, watch your back, not sure what Fiat plans to do

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees, more emphasis on customer service

    Pros

Manager allowed individuals to work without micromanaging and respected our abilities at the job and our ability to stay on task and accomplish the work.

    Cons

Feeling of the different work groups, departments, and levels of workers not being part of a bigger team that work together.

I worked at CNH Capital America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay was decent. I received more than one raise within the first year. The people were nice as long as you were on their good side.

    Cons

Too many layoffs. Their turnover rate is high. They pretend like they care, but didn't show it when it came to the time I had tried to get my job back. I had great attendance. I always worked the mandatory overtime which would put me there at least two hours over every night. I never had time for my family due to that. They work every person like a slave and your productivity never seems to be good enough. We are humans, NOT ROBOTS! We make mistakes, tire and slow down after so many endless hours of fast paced picking/packing of heavy tractor/car parts. Once my daughter passed away about a year and a half in to employment,, I became emotionally unstable and quit the job. I tried to return a couple of years later, but they told me I was on the non-rehire list. After how much sympathy they showed, I thought they would understand my reasons for quitting.

    Advice to Management

Start showing respect and care about your employees. They are there trying to make a living just as you are. Treat them with dignity, instead of treating them as if they were slaves.

I have been working at CNH Capital America full-time

    Pros

CNH Capital has a very good 401k. Senior management is very good. Co-workers are very nice and environment is collegial. Plenty of opportunities to get good work experience.

    Cons

Pay is OK but don't expect annual salary increase. HR is not helpful despite appearances.

    Advice to Management

Management expectations are stressing employees given more with less culture. Compensation will make people look elsewhere.
