I have been working at CNH Industrial full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Health Benefits are decent. Wages are ok for warehouse work

    Cons

Pretty much 0 upward mobility in the company. If you work here, don't expect a promotion for at least 5 years if ever. Unrealistic production goals. Seriously incompetent management. Company is reactive to problems rather than proactive

    Advice to Management

I don't know. Fire yourselves? Start with every single one of your leads. These people are supposed to be your first line of help with employees and all they want to do is bicker and play on the radio. 1st shift leads are negligent in their duties. 2nd shift leads are incompetent. 3rd shift leads are basically non existent. It is you that makes people not want to work here. End mandatory overtime immediately. Doesn't matter what your goal is regarding inventory levels. Stop making everyone work 10+ hours a day and hire more people....if you ever bothered to advertise that is. Probably the most important, Redo your production goals so that they are inline with the time of year! What works for planting/harvest season does NOT WORK in February. Actually listen to people's suggestions instead of ignoring them. Better opportunities for upper level jobs. It seems like nobody moves in this company except laterally. Nobody gets promoted and nobody moves up.

I worked at CNH Industrial full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great people to work with. Many extremely talented people. Great time off, I believe up to 17 paid holidays. Challenging and can be rewarding at times.

    Cons

If you aren't in the inner circle you don't get anywhere. The only way to advance is to completely kiss up to management. Advanced degrees are the only way they take people serious. They don't judge you on you ability or your achievements but on the paper you earned in school. If you have a BS it just gets your foot in the door but that's it.

    Advice to Management

Look at peoples merit and proven abilities not just what you see on paper. Look outside of the people constantly kissing your butt. There's people there looking to advance that are too busy to be constantly trying to show off to you.

I have been working at CNH Industrial full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Rich 401K and Benefits

Good potential for interesting software/electronic projects - but see CONs

Many company sponsored events such as bring your child to work day, summer picnic, local restaurants brought in from time to time to serve lunch

New CTO, Mr. Berger seems brilliant even though he's relatively new - some hope there.

    Cons

A lot. I mention good potential for interesting projects but the management has no software development experience - they are stuck in the 1990s.

Tremendous turn-over with middle managers, directors, senior VPs and CTO. CTO 2 years on the job, new COO, CEO gets a pass due to passing of Sergio. New managers are visionless - looking for the "right" path forward seems to be hard for them. They brought in outside consultants to try and find solutions instead of looking within.

Impossible to get a pay raise even when you meet your PLM metrics. CNH uses company multiplier toward your yearly bonus to adjust for what they feel you should get; the system is gamed against the employee naturally. Despite hitting PLM goals, the company multiplier is used to hold back bonus. If you interview at CNH, negotiate high salary and don't be sold on any bonus structure.

PLM is total joke. No one pays attention to it yet everyone goes through the motions. HR rules with an iron fist but directors ignore. PLM is just a tool to divide up bonus money - not used to promote you.

Purchasing runs the company instead of the engineers so many engineering decisions are ultimately overruled by non-technical purchasing people.

Tremendous amount of cliques. If you're not part of the in crowd, you get side lined even when your skill/knowledge is just as good. I'm fortunate: I have lunch and work with the in-crowd, but I feel a bit sorry for some engineers who I know are solid but are often over-looked or excluded from meetings because someone doesn't like them. In short, an abnormal amount of POLITICS; nothing like I've ever seen at any other company before.

Zero Vision - some engineers appear to know what and how to move things forward but management is just a word. Managers have no power for some reason and this trickles down to an unmotivated workforce. Couple with the politics, CNH has a toxic environment.

    Advice to Management

    Promote more from within
Listen to the engineers - give them a chance!
For software. get rid of middle management or those who are not actively delivering your products. We don't need any more seat warmers

I worked at CNH Industrial full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The pay is good. There are a number of very good people working there that want to help the company be successful.

    Cons

There are minimal to no pay raises. There are a lot of cliques at the Burlington, Iowa facility. If you are not from the Burlington originally or you did not work with the existing management, you will be looked down upon. Burlington is the worst management team I have dealt with.

    Advice to Management

Grow up and start looking at what you can do to help the Business and the folks working in Burlington. I would recommend to the senior leadership at the corporate office that they eliminate all management level individuals in Burlington and start over.

I have been working at CNH Industrial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good health insurance and pharmacy / prescription coverage.

    Cons

Hard to get internal promotion unless you are already salaried. Unqualified salaried personnel can get interviews for other salaried positions when qualified hourly candidates who have been recognized for outstanding contribution to the company are sent "no thanks - we've chosen a better qualified candidate" email when they have NO current candidates and the role desperately needs filled.

No consistency on HR policy (some employees charged 10 hours of vacation time during mandatory overtime and others are charged only 8). Hourly employees not paid for time traveled between buildings which is in violation of Federal law (Portal-to-Portal Act).

Company preaches valuing employees who contribute and try to make a difference.... definitely not the case if you are not salaried personnel with a Bachelor's degree - even if you've been a highly recognized salaried employee at prior companies.

    Advice to Management

Recognize the value of ALL employees based on their contribution, experience, work ethic and desire to make a difference.

Ensure your HR reps know the laws associated with company practices and be sure treatment is fair and consistent - whether it be in charging PTO hours or selecting internal candidates to interview for open roles.

Get with the program; large global companies are changing how they measure the value of their people, so should CNHI. Look at your recent customer reviews.... customers can't get their parts when they need them. Smart treatment of you "internal" customers might just help that.

    Cons

Suppose to be working 4 10hr days, BUTT management constantly posts 12hr days. Attitudes are bad, no home life. Your family suffers cause your only home to sleep .

    Advice to Management

Quit or start listening to the people that assemble these tractors and fix the issues. Replace machines too get into the 21st century
