I worked at CNO Financial Group full-time

    Pros

Company overview is pretty decent but the management in IT department are the most corrupted and disgraceful leadership i had ever seen.

    Cons

Worst management I have ever seen especially IT directors who do not have brains other than disrespecting own employees. The time I had worked there was the horrible experience I can never forget in my whole life and even HR supported the leaders. No career growth as well.

    Advice to Management

fire all the all leaders and rely on fresh leaders who thinks before coming to decisions.

I have been working at CNO Financial Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

they will pay for your life license

    Cons

Very unprofessional work ethics managers are there for a paycheck. No real training is provided and you are forced to sell what they want you to sell not whats best for the customers. Instead of retaining their talent they will force you to quit because its unmoral and unethical for you to continue to work for them. My advice is to Stay Away from this company nothing about anything they do is right big bosses get raises and promotions while you the one working hard suffers and to top it off you dont have a clue what your goals are they are given on a monthly basis. your goal changes one month it could be low and out of no where its 3x higher and you better make that high goal because if you dont they will create a rule that states they can write you up for not hitting that goal and intercept your bonus for the next 90days to make up for you and anybody else that couldnt hit the ridiculous goal. One more thing, there is what they call Quality no training just a pamplet telling you instructions Thats your training if u fail the call no bonuses yes for 90days. No win situation work for this company at your own Risk....

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to be friends with agents and do your job. Stop telling your co-workers personal business as management.

I worked at CNO Financial Group (More than 3 years)

    Pros

High pay, benefits decent, some job perks like free tickets at the fieldhouse

    Cons

Leadership is demanding, gives no autonomy, treats employees like children and/or slaves, very little employee engagement/morale in most areas, products sold are a rip off for most customers, they don't value people/employees at all, all the value is in high output from teams to better affect the bottom line, expect salaried employees to regularly work 60+hours a week year round with a "suck it up" mentality. There are some good people there who are brainwashed that this is how a company should be run and don't know any better because they've spent their whole career there. It's a shame.

    Advice to Management

Empower you employees, treat them with respect, let people have ownership of their jobs, value people's personal time and make less demands. Have reasonable expectations.
