    Pros

Pay is good if you got a good assignment. You have to find a way to get into a good paying assignment.

    Cons

Collaboration is pretty much non-existent. You don't have the backing of an entire service line. It is understood however that as a contractor, you would not get the same benefits.

    Advice to Management

Get your employees, whether contract or permanent into a culture of collaboration and support. Let them feel like they are a part of a bigger company and not just an individual who's dropped into an assignment.

    Pros

I received my requested hourly rate without too much debate.

    Cons

If you are a contractor who uses agencies for the sake of health benefits, look elsewhere. COMSYS' package is a losing combination of poor quality and high cost.

Sadly, I've also been unimpressed by the operations personnel I've dealt with over the years. I'm sad to say that none have struck me as particularly organized, creative, or proactive.

    Advice to Management

When you offer dismal benefits and your contractors have negative experiences with your personnel, they choose other agencies and share their experiences with other professionals. Food for thought.

They are well connected locally and work together to match your skills with employers' needs.

    Cons

There are only low or medium paid job opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Please give better pay or benefits to employees.

    Pros

COMSYS reps make an effort to build a good relationship with the contractor.

    Cons

COMSYS misrepresented the benefits package. Be wary of any "salaried" position where you are contracted to COMSYS customer, as you are paid upon the billable hours on the job. During the onboarding process the benefits rep stated that I would get three weeks of PTO time during the first year of employment. She conveniently left out that I would only get 1 week PTO during the first six months. I went unpaid for two weeks when I took a planned vacation and when the customer closed for the holidays. My salary for the previous year was $15000 less than what was agreed upon during the interview.

    Advice to Management

Stop penalizing employees during the first 6 months of employment.

    Pros

My experience with Comsys has been positive. They have handled everything professionally and efficiently.

    Cons

The Comsys health insurance premium is high compared to other companies. I kept my COBRA from my previous employer because the premium is less expensive for very good coverage.

    Pros

PTO is decent (14 hours per month after first six months).
    Pay depends on the contract.
    Strives to maintain pre-Manpower identity

    Cons

    First six months were tough.
You are a contractor and subject to the whims of the client.
Never see the Client Manager or the Placement Manager once you get placed somewhere.

    Advice to Management

Remember the promises of the hiring process: what COMSYS events have occurred in the past year?
Be a little more flexible about hiring people; just because "that's the way we've always done it" is not an acceptable reason any longer.
