I worked at CONMED Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Nice people, plenty of OT, nice facility. Nice pay.

    Cons

Upper Management is clueless, too many engineers not enough workers. More office people, engineers and managers than personnel who actually work.

    Advice to Management

Who are you? been there quite a while and don't even who you are!!! Managers should spend less time in you benz or hanging out in the cafeteria hitting on the female interns.
And what does Dean Rock do? what does he know? My answer would be nothing.

I worked at CONMED Corporation as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are great people to work with at ConMed.
This job had great, hands on experience as an intern.
    I was treated with respect.

    Cons

Sometimes as an intern, you are not kept as busy as possible. Having consistent projects to work on throughout the summer would have provided more benefit.

    Advice to Management

One thing management could do to improve the quality of working at ConMed is to be clear in the projects assigned, deadlines, and priorities.

I have been working at CONMED Corporation full-time

    Pros

C suite leadership is hyper-engaged and I believe the company is heading in the right direction. They are ready and willing to sit down and talk to anyone.

    Cons

Sales leadership do not recognize that the mix of products, lack of products and structure demands outside of the box thinking. How it worked at their old companies is not going to apply here. Sales can control sales channels and programs and nothing has been addressed in those areas.

    Advice to Management

There is good effective sales people who are failing because of the structure, products and sales channels available to them. In many instances people are not the problem and bringing in new people who sit on there hands and point out what is wrong is not going to turn the company around. Going outside their job description to get things done will.

I have been working at CONMED Corporation full-time

    Pros

Good people to work with. Room to grow as they try to promote from within.

    Cons

Gets caught up in petty policy and continues to take away benefits from employees. As good as this company has been, I believe it is trending downwards. Recent layoffs have showed that to be true as well.

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to be Stryker and go back to our roots
