I have been working at CORE Construction full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Employed here for 2.5 years, not as management. Probably been to more CORE offices than almost all others who've reviewed and, in my role, come in contact with more C level execs, owners, presidents, etc than the others , as well as the other sub companies. I feel those who've been critical, are expecting things to be handed to you, and do not know how to deal with different personalities in the workplace. Does *everyone* adhere to the company culture? No. I've never worked for a medium-large company where that's been true, but I've also never worked for a similarly sized company where it's been more true. From top to bottom, more people here live to not only the company culture, but that culture is actually well thought out and has clear expectations of it's followers. Great place to work. If the pay fits your expectations and you have integrity, take the position. You won't regret it. CEO literally knows most people's names in the company, and worked his way up from the bottom. You don't find that just anywhere...

    Cons

Cons are built on expectations not met, ergo subjective to the specific reviewer's opinions. Can't really say I have any that I feel are worth mentioning.

    Advice to Management

Continue to Improve on your leadership (not management). It's written in the culture.

    Pros

    They Seem nice at first.

    Cons

They are liars to your face. They discriminate, especially against age. Don't trust them!

    Advice to Management

Get a Human Resource Dept. and put things on an even playing field. Stop playing Favorites.

I worked at CORE Construction full-time

    Pros

Great, knowledgeable people brought together by a common culture.

    Cons

Company based bonus (very small) unless you are top management or in the grace of the family. Salaries are small, and asking for raises are frowned upon.

    Advice to Management

    Take care of your people

    Pros

Great work environment. Senior Management is always there to help if needed for support.

    Cons

Bonuses are less than other construction companies.

  8. "Many false reviews"

    Pros

This is a great place to work. There is obviously confusion on this app, we do not send flowers to employees for their birthdays. And as for the review that mentions the female workers in Arizona, that is a completely different company, that is CCG which is not the same company as Core. For the review mentioning lack of training, there is a lot of training available on the employee portal.

    Cons

Some people can be strong on religion, but this is a Christian company. The only reason I left was to go to the original company Otto Baum.

I worked at CORE Construction full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This is a company with a bold corporate mission statement of honesty and integrity. Family owned and operated with loads of very long term employees.

    Cons

The problem is that this is a bold faced LIE. As a pm or estimator, you will be forced to lie, cheat, and steal from customers.

If you have an ounce of true integrity, you will not fit well in this company.

The family owners constantly preach Christian virtue but soil that virtue by their actions.

    This company is a cancer

    Advice to Management

Try to stop stealing from customers. They will eventually figure it out and will most likely be a bit upset.

I have been working at CORE Construction full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There is an initiative to improve the culture within the company.
They need professional help if they want to succeed.

    Cons

They habitually overwork their salaried employees 10 to 20 hours a week.
This is not random, every project is run this way.
Think about it, they're getting 25 to 50 present of the employees time for free.

    Advice to Management

The first priority should be the Employee (Internal Customer), then the Client (External Customer).

You can not maintain a culture if your employees aren't happy as they'll go elsewhere.
