I have been working at CP Kelco full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

CP Kelco has a wide range of products. It also has facilities all across the world. If you are optimistic and willing to learn, there are always exciting opportunities. It has a very respectful work culture. We all value each other's opinions. Also, as a family-owned business, we all try our best to help each other out. If someone is unhappy with their job or want to grow, the management would almost always try their best to accommodate. The company would much rather change itself and have happy employees than to lose them. So I feel like jobs are quite stable here. On a bit of idealistic side, the company actually has enforces great moral and ethical values. We care about our planet and people, so waste reduction, energy efficiency and food safety are very big here.

Lastly, the pay is great with very nice benefits. We also get quite a bit of time off to travel and take care of family.

    Cons

Honestly cannot think of anything negative.

I worked at CP Kelco full-time

    Pros

    Fair pay and benefits
Remote work options for non-plant personnel
    Family-owned - engaged family members
Heart's in the right place with Safety

    Cons

Good ol' boys club - especially in upper management/senior leadership - that trickles down to sites. Many sexist views are still actively promoted. Extremely conservative culture that makes others with different ideas hold back on providing valuable feedback.
Profess need for innovation, but not open to new or external ideas.
The few women in senior leadership are limited to support functions.

    Advice to Management

Expedite Diversity in the organization and make tough calls with respect to who you're going to promote or give authority to.
Stop promoting and condoning (even rewarding) alpha male/childish behaviours.
Remember that you are a GLOBAL company - it's not all about the US and US conservative values.
There's a world outside of CPK and Huber - be open to it and adapt.

    Cons

Lacks diversity in their senior leadership team. You are promoted based on who likes you and not based on your skills and qualifications.
