I worked at CPR Cellphone Repair full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Lots of opportunity to learn how to repair various types of electronics, down to the motherboard components. Honestly can't stress how valuable the information you gain here is.

    - You get plenty of face time with customers (could also be a con)

-The management was fair and highly respectable. They were always willing to work with my military schedule.

    - If you enjoy fixing things and tinkering with tech, you will do well at this job.

    Cons

    - Low pay. I felt I wasn't getting anywhere near the pay I deserved, however the small-shop-repair industry just doesn't generate a whole lot of revenue.

    - Different hours (10a-7p, off on Sunday)

    - Short, inconsistent lunches when busy which was most of the time.

    Advice to Management

Spend more time finding better employees.

I worked at CPR Cellphone Repair full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

very little busy work. easy to use pos computer system. All ordering done on ebay

    Cons

controlled by cpr corporate and the owners have very little control over anything involving the creative direction or logistics of the business.

    Advice to Management

loosen the reigns on creative control so each market can be approached differently because all markets are different. what works in one market doesn't always work in another

    Pros

Great concept. High customer satisfaction when you are able to make a repair.

    Cons

Very little practical support for franchisees. Corporate mgt is disconnected from grass roots stores. Very little useable training given to techs.

    Pros

Industry is taking off and there could be some great opportunities ahead, just not here. Run as fast as you can in the other direction.

    Cons

You don’t get paid for what you put in. They try and thrill you with “perks” but these all go to the top elite in the company. No HR. Exclusion rather than inclusion. You have to play along or you are out. Bye bye opinions. Only interested in selling more licenses and not investing in their network or employees.

    Advice to Management

Invest more in your employees, not just the top 10.

    Pros

it nice to see a barn you know.

    Cons

ever one I worked at was different and I worked at three it is an over-watcher of the company that does not seem to care about anything other than getting their percent of the money the store makes.

    Advice to Management

    care

I worked at CPR Cellphone Repair full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Very good business plan, if Franchisees / Owners follow corporate policies/procedures and properly train and provide support to technicians and managers. Almost every human being owns a cell phone. Humans are accident prone. When accidents happen, humans need their phones fixed!

    Cons

I was promised an opportunity to become a Co-Franchisee / Owner. That never materialized. I had to operate the store on a shoestring budget. My Franchisees / Owners purchased substandard parts directly from China. They would not properly train technicians and managers. Their idea of training was for you to watch a You Tube How-To Video. They would not replace light bulbs, fix faulty wiring or repair broken water heater. They would not pay for janitorial services, window cleaning or pest control. I had to do all of that myself. I worked 50 - 60 hours per week. I was given no lunch breaks away from the store. My lunch was typically eaten in between waiting on customers. I got every other Saturday off. The store was closed on Sundays.

    Advice to Management

Make sure the Franchisees / Owners of the respective location you are applying for ... are legitimately following the CPR Franchise policies and procedures and properly train and support their technicians and managers. Anything promised by the Franchisees / Owners, such as possible ownership, compensation, etc. ... needs to be writing ... Before you begin your employment!
