Get your CDL but not good for a CAREER

      Pros

CDL classes/courses are paid for by the company if you stay with them for 1 year.

      Cons

Dispatch never knows what's going on. Especially after hours. Brought up multiple safety concerns, and they were not taken seriously. Promised dedicated routes are never assigned to you and it's hard to get home time. NOT good to be OTR when you have a family. Only get to come home every 6 weeks or so and then you're so tired, you can't/don't do much while you're home.

      Phase 1, Training Truck Driver

      Pros

School was fast paced. Pay-grade looks Steep! As a trainee you'll be on salary with fairly descent paychecks. After a few weeks you'll get paid more, getting paid for trips hours and miles, the raises keep coming and pay is better than other Trucking - Schools or Companies. All of the trucks are new and Automatic (if you like that) don't have to worry about the clutch, (or double clutching,) Or what gear your in. They all have beds inside, and they are pretty nice!! Getting to see the country, getting great pay, with benefits. I'm glad I came to CR England!!!

      Cons

Most of the cons, really just depends on who you are. Seems like there won't be much home time... but that's fine with me. All the trucks are New and Automatic Transmission (if you don't like that). MT driving is more fun, I ride a motorcycle and drive a Manual Transmission SUV and like driving MT sports cars as well. But other than being more Fun, there are also other benefits of Manual Transmission that pretty much, only MT drivers know about. .. IE: you won't 'worry' about which gear your in, because you KNOW you put it in second! By Taking every turn in second gear, you won't have to worry about tipping the Truck or trailer and you won't usually have to worry about drive wheels skidding in a turn... (so long as you 'Know' what your doing, that is.)

      Interesting start

      Pros

Very good instructors, if I had a question or an issue, all I had to do was ask and they gave me the assistance I needed. Likewise the office staff has been very helpful in making sure I got what I needed.

      Cons

The class sizes make it a little more difficult to get enough 'seat time' to ensure you pass the CDL test quickly. I didn't have much of an issue but others did. Getting a driver/trainer seems to go a little slower than I thought, availability could be a little better. They don't talk much about home time. That could be a bit better from what I am getting.

      Great Opportunities

      Pros

If you go through the school program, it was the quickest way to attain the CDL and guarantee a job. Trainers and instructors are extremely friendly and patient.

      Cons

The program is advertised as 10 days, realistically it is 7. You also need to very self dependent when it comes to studying and not a lot of help is immediately available. Home time is very limited.
