I have been working at CRC Health Group part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Hours, Flexible schedule, training environment

    Cons

Competitive pay, no room for growth, clients run the clinic

    Advice to Management

Be more hands on, don’t have such a laid back approach to managing. Part of recovery is to show changed behavior so the clinical changes shouldn’t require “snacks” each time there’s one to be made. Just a notice.

    Pros

When the company was beginning to grow there were opportunities of growth within departments. Able to develop good relationships with other departments to lean on them as needed. Working with prospective clients was rewarding, especially when we were able to get them on the path to recovery.

    Cons

Company growth was quick, therefore adding to lots of turnover in leadership roles.
Salary not as competetive as it could be.

    Pros

Benefits are excellent, there is opportunity to move around within the company.

    Cons

The corporate site has more than its share of favoritism and uncouth practices.

    Advice to Management

Wrangle in some of the egos that you're putting in supervisory roles. There needs to be more checks and balances.

I worked at CRC Health Group (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A great way to enter the field of social work and gain experience interacting with patients.

    Cons

CRC is driven by outputs rather than outcomes. They would rather fill beds than provide evidenced based practice.

    Advice to Management

Don't use supervision as a threat. Rather, provide supervisor as a support as often as possible.

    Pros

There were solid benefits and a predictable salary

    Cons

The company itself was unpredictable. The place where I worked was growing one week with interviews for new employees and the next week we were all being pulled into a meeting to be informed it was being shut down.
