I have been working at CRS Group (Less than a year)

    Pros

CRS Group delivers what they promise. CRS group provided me with a consulting opportunity of a life time. It has been a joy to work for CRS Group. They are there when you need them and have questions. All of their staff are willing to go above and beyond and treat their contractors like their most prized possessions. The CRS difference in my opinion is the feeling I get that they are here for not only the company I contract for but for me as their contractor. I'm not just another number or consultant on their list but I'm treated like a valued employee. If you are looking for a company that you can trust, rest assured you've found it with CRS Group.

    Cons

I have no cons at this time.

    Advice to Management

Provide opportunities for your shining employees to connect whether through your news letters, maybe an lunch/opportunity to meet everyone there in Chicago, or something so that they can inspire others working for CRS Group and so that others feel empowered to do a good job. Otherwise, keep up the good work.

I worked at CRS Group (More than 10 years)

    Pros

CRS does a great job of matching contractors with assignments. They know their clients very well and they take the time to get to know their contractors as well. My recruiter and engagement manager were responsive, professional and resourceful about getting me placed and addressing questions and concerns after I was placed. I appreciated the virtual on-boarding process; everything was seamless, smooth and rapid. I'm looking forward to working with them to line up and start my next assignment.

    Cons

As typical of the contracting industry, not having paid-time-off -- vacation, holidays, or sick days. The client I worked for furloughed contractors for the last 2 weeks of December, without much notice. That was a big hardship during the holidays.

    Advice to Management

Keep the same high-quality of recruiters and engagement managers. I appreciate their candor and professionalism.

    Pros

The staff at CRS Group is very friendly, knowledgeable and respond very quickly to any of the employees needs. I have worked with several people there for various questions and they have respond within minutes. I want to be hired permanently by the location that I am currently placed but will very much miss this company when that happens!

    Cons

I honestly cannot find any cons at all with this company.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. You have found a GREAT group of people!! Take care of them and keep them happy.

    Pros

The CRS Group has a wonderful working environment! We are constantly supported by each other and by our wonderful manager, Josh. Josh checks in with us at least once per day to see if we need any assistance. We also have the ability to work flexible hours so that we can participate in activities outside of work, or plan around our families' schedules. We were even able to spend a weekday afternoon volunteering our time at Feed My Starving children. It was a wonderful experience that allowed us to give back and bond with our coworkers. The CRS Group also provides an environment where we are recognized for our successes, and offered help when we encounter downfalls.

    Cons

At this time, I do not have cons for the CRS Group. Thanks for all you do for us and for continuing to be an excellent place for us to work!

    Advice to Management

Continue to offer assistance to your employees when they need it by allowing flexible work hours and an environment where we are not afraid to ask for help. Additionally, continue to allow us to volunteer and celebrate our successes!

    Pros

Solid contracts, well informed contract managers

    Cons

Limited benefits, just another agency taking their cut of your hard earned dollars.

    Advice to Management

Your contract employees will burn out when you don't compensate for vacation time or holidays. It is a stress creator. As they are your bread and butter, you ought to treat them better.

    Pros

    It's a steady paycheck.

    Cons

They offered absolutely nothing past a straight hourly wage. No chance for a raise ever. At one point a woman in HR ignored my attempted contact for weeks. Just to tell me what they advertised isn't offered and personally insulted my mother. Who does this in business? Not one concern about this from management despite repeated attempts. When they finally offered health insurance (pre Obamacare) it was terribly expensive. My personal plan at the time was 40% less than what they offered with much better coverage on my end. I have the feeling they went with the most expensive plan they could find knowing nobody could afford it with what they pay.

    Advice to Management

Live up to what you advertise. Time and a half for mandatory holidays would be a good way to build loyalty. 401k, sick days and vacations shouldn't be reserved for office employees only. Your contractors, the ones earning and bringing in your money, would appreciate something more than the nothing optional that you offer.

Commitment to success internally and externally. 2nd to none clientele with a Long history of customer success stories. Premier Chicago-bases MBE with passionate focused workforce where diversity and inclusion are part of the fabric that makes CRSGroup great.

    Cons

Itasca is centrally located, however it is a bit unknown and not downtown if that is your desired work location.
