Pros
Company wide competitions every few months where you can win gift cards or all expense paid trips to wine country. You make commission on the gift cards you sell during the holidays. The food and wine is carefully curated. It’s nice to work at a place where everyone cares about the product. You have the chance to learn so much on the job without needing an extensive background to get hired. They will also pay half of the fee to take the Sommelier exams. I believe even the full amount if you are a manager. The atmosphere draws in a clientele that will return and tip well. During the pandemic, our regulars were genuinely concerned for us and supported the restaurant to ensure we wouldn’t close. No arbitrary rules or meaningless side work like most larger chain restaurants. Coworkers support each other and take pride in small details.
Cons
There aren’t more of them.
