    Cons

No Teamwork, no collaboration, no supplies, no training, mgr too busy so take care of any personnel issues, no raises

I have been working at CSC full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Tuition reimbursement is awesome! They offer telecommuting and flexible work schedules.

    Cons

They move a lot of work to India. No pay raises in over 3 years for regular employees. HR policies focus on results, not efforts.

    Advice to Management

Show appreciation for loyal employees at the bottom of the totem pole. The daily, sometimes monotonous, duties help the Company succeed as well.

I have been working at CSC full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Like every company there are pros and cons working in CSC. It really depends on each one's individual needs in life. Overall, having a job is a blessing and is not to be taken lightly. Work life balance is good, but need more ways to motivate employees to do the job right and well.

    Cons

There has been a lot of changes in the last few years. Hope management find ways to mange through the changes without demoralize the employees

    Advice to Management

Manage work with due diligence. Do not be too concerned about Wall Street expectations. The company performance speaks for itself. This takes confidence.

    Pros

Individual contributors are great people, o are the lower level managers, to the first VP level or so. Good benefits, flex time, in some jobs. HR policies are very good for women, minorities and LGBTQ employees. Strong anti-harassment rules.

    Cons

Upper management treats employees like interchangeable Lego bricks. No value given for individual contributors, regardless of how great their performance reviews are. Poor to non-existent pay raises - not even enough to keep up with inflation. Obsolete computer resources, with no funding to replace them. Long-term, highly rated employees dropped without cause, merely to cut salary expenses, and replaced, maybe, with lower-level people. More likely a department gets a mandated staff cut and is expected to keep doing the same work with fewer people.

    Advice to Management

Start really valuing your employees, and not just paying lip service to that idea. Pay them what they are worth. invest in your own computer and network infrastructure before it collapses from obsolescence.

I have been working at CSC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Company matches up to 50% of Health Insurance and 401K; Allowed some work from home days; Sick days are separate from Vacation days (and paid).

    Cons

Rule book is to large with to many exceptions (where the exceptions are not listed); Management is rarely supportive; No raises have been given for at least 1.5 years even with nearly excellent annual review; New Vacation policy does not allow accrual, instead is by manager approval exclusively; Company is working towards offshoring.

    Advice to Management

Please stop managing by making exceptions for so many and please stand behind the rules that you approved and distributed (or revise the rules). Please have team meetings rather than current lack of direction/communication.

I have been working at CSC full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Some work from home, matching 401K, regular holidays

    Cons

Only interested in bottom line. Moving jobs to India. No raises for the past 3 years. Took away vacation accrual. Horrible, unstable finance system SAP. Don't treat all employees equally.

    Advice to Management

Start appreciating employees with raises and regular work schedules. Offer telecommuting full time to those that want it.

I worked at CSC (More than a year)

    Pros

The building is in a nice location, and the office looks very bright and modern. It was a very nice workspace if you like an open environment.

    Cons

CSC is a large company. I'm used to working at smaller companies, and the pace was very slow there. I didn't really feel like there was much of a plan, but again maybe it's just because things move slowly there.
