    Pros

CSC is a very large company and each department is very different. My department was a small former DynCorp division and I felt that it was very nicely run in a family-friendly atmosphere. Managers were very open to 30/32 hour reduced FT schedules to people who had been working a few years with demonstrated performance, this was great for moms. Work was for the Fed Govt under LT contracts so unless you goofed big time your job was guaranteed. There was always a desire to help folks whose contracts ended and bring them into other divisions.

    Cons

It is a large company and each department is different. - I have heard stories of very strict managers and very laid back managers. Note that there is no guarantee for inter departmental moves - if the contract you are on loses funding you may not find work and will get laid off.

    Advice to Management

    None.

    Pros

Most employees were very dedicated and talented.
Some coworkers were willing to spend time mentoring less experienced coworkers and sharing their subject matter expertise.
    Benefits were okay to good.

    Cons

Meaningful communication from upper management was lacking.
    Employees treated as interchangeable.
Work / life balance was not good.
    Morale was usually low.

    Advice to Management

    They wouldn't take it anyway!

I worked at CSC (More than 10 years)

    Pros

work hours flexibility, telecommute, nice colleagues

    Cons

CSC as a corporation has been in turmoil for too many years. Continual reorganization with no discernible changes or results. Salary reductions a few years ago; then salary freezes. Ongoing reduction in force efforts by CSC for years - experienced professionals let go. 3 major layoffs in 2016.

I have been working at CSC full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Tons of work to be done, gain experience quickly
All co-workers are wonderful people and truly mean well and care for each other

    Cons

No raises in three years, so don't expected to get any type of compensation once hired. All the focus by executives appears towards increasing stock and selling company and not investing in the employees.
Almost exclusively on the job training - lucky to get a day of training when hired

    Advice to Management

Make the employees who do the work which actually make the company revenue and its possible the company could become better and easier to sell rather than perpetually lowering the bottom line on a financial statement
