I worked at CSC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Facility was nice and some of the local people we nice.

    Cons

PTO was lacking, the culture is horrible (you must be buddy buddy with some from higher up to even get anywhere in the company), and the way employees are treated is horrible. Just horrible. No belief and no empathy.

    Advice to Management

Talk your employees. Actually understand what it would be like to work for yourself. It would not be pleasant experience at all.

I worked at CSC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They have remote positions that allow you to work from home. This is the ONLY positive attribute this company has to offer!!!!!

    Cons

This company has a history of not giving raises to its employees. During my research and feedback from other employees, this company goes years without so much as a cost of living increase. The only way one will receive an increase in pay is to be promoted to a higher level. No room for advancement and extremely inexperienced managers. Do not waste your time with this company, there are other companies that will respect and reward valuable employees.

    Advice to Management

Management should provide proper training for incoming and existing managers. Many of the managers should participate in yearly classes to ensure that they have the company's best interest in mind. The managers I have worked with were inexperienced and showed favoritism, which creates a very unfavorable working atmosphere.

    Pros

I dont have anything positive to say about my work experience with this company. And I mean absolutely nothing. NOTHING!!!

    Cons

If you are not a WHITE employee you can forget a promotion, raise or respect in this place. If you voice an opinion about the obvious issue's your ostracized and blackballed. They work you to death for little pay. There is no work life balance at all. You work overtime with no overtime pay. And reporting it does nothing for you. They will always take management side. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. You are so much better than this company. BEWARE.!!!

    Advice to Management

Stop being prejudice. Listen to your employees. Pay them what they are worth. We are employee's but most of all human beings.

I worked at CSC full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Honestly, I can't think of any, All that was good about the company they've done away with starting in about 2008. They've offshored tens of thousands of American jobs.

    Cons

Understaffed and underpaid. The expectation is that you do the work of 2-3 people and work 60+ hours a week. The benefits are terrible, and you get few if any raises.

    Advice to Management

Learn that you get what you pay for. I ran a technical team of 10 and my offshore resources caused multiple production outages via simple and preventable human error. You off shored tens of thousands of American jobs and customer service and technical expertise when out the door as you replaced them with cheaper much less experienced workers. That is NOT a wholesale indictment of my off shore peers, there were some sharp guys and gals.

    Pros

There are some great people at CSC, who care.

    Cons

Almost no investments in future offerings. A almost 45 day view of Operating Income, and if it is not happening people get let go. There is a continual stream of layoffs. Senior execs only care about themselves. Could care less about the customer, all they care about it operating income and how to maximize it.

    Advice to Management

Try to build something long term!

I have been working at CSC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Salary is not bad compared to others

    Cons

    1. No raises for employees and only executives (I've seen that on a number of reviews)
    2. The place pushes people with extra hours and little to no additional compensation
    3. They can't keep their accounting down properly.
    4. Very little to instill loyalty
    5. HR HelpDesk is a freakn' run-around. Nobody knows and blames others for not responding.

    Advice to Management

Raises! Stop paying executives for what the employees are doing to promote the company.
