    Pros

If you can call learning how to be overworked and under paid, then that is the only pro about this place.

    Cons

They lay off experienced people, in order to hire cheaper inexperienced people, force you to relocate to one of their service centers or be replaced, keep piling on the work to the point where you have to work 55 to 60 hours a week in order to keep up with the work load. They move every drop of work to India if at all possible. Not a single raise the entire 8 years I worked for CSC, despite excellent performance reviews. They don't care about their customers. They leaders in this company are doing nothing but lining their pockets.

    Advice to Management

If you would reduce your own salaries, halt all raises and bonuses that you get, and treat your employees with respect you would not need to continue with laying off the estimated 65,000 people one analyst is predicting to be laid off by the time the merger is all said and done with HPE. Better yet, tell all the present CSC employees that they all will be laid off and your only keeping the HPE employees after the merger so they can start looking for another job now before the market is totally flooded with people.

    Pros

There are some great people here but they are all looking for new jobs.

    Cons

Horrible leadership with no respect for employees. They treat people like garbage. Attrition is double a normal firm. Cuts have gone too deep, customers are suffering from failed projects. Work life balance doesn't exist, they will work you like a dog and then toss you to the side. Run away from this toxic company.

    Advice to Management

    Retire.

I worked at CSC full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Difficult to come up with any except Pay was OK. Benefits mediocre - they use the AON Health Exchange

    Cons

Simply the most psychotic environment I've ever been in. The "merger" with HPE Services (formerly EDS) is evidently leading to waves of thousands of layoffs. I knew one person who came off a successful engagement and was laid off the very next day. North American Consulting is taking the brunt of the massive arbitrary reductions evidently because other countries simply don't allow such. Many talented people who were recently hired were laid off without warning - more likely due to contractual requirements in the HPE Services "Merger".

This has created a spooky culture of "who's going to die next?!" - which includes management all the way up. I watched numerous talented managers simply quit and go elsewhere because they could not stomach the carnage. Same for very talented consultants.

The CEO is on a "digital transformation" binge and core business areas are being left in the dust and creating angry customers who are switching to more professional and reliable consulting organizations. People are laid off with no warning and it has had a chilling effect throughout the company. There's a general feeling that no valuable leadership is in place in North America.

    Advice to Management

You've already ruined this company and your pipe dreams of creating something great from the rubble will prove to be your downfall. Too many poorly managed customers and ex employees who were treated badly and tossed aside will haunt CSC for years to come. It will never be a serious top notch consulting company and will instead become a bottom feeder as its leader has been setting it up for such.

    Pros

...if you're thinking about working here. Then run away as fast as possible and don't look back.

    Cons

Sadly the worst time of my career. I don't believe in calling anything a mistake but these are bad people and this is a bad company. If you look below, you'll notice many bogus 5 star ratings that HR must be entering in an effort to skew the data and prop them up to a 2.7 rating - lol. Management is a bunch of recycled C- players from former great companies of years past that have also entered into a death cycle. This company is simply on the wrong side of the market disruption. There is no ability to drive top line growth so management judt focuses on operating margins. So when bookings fail to grow q/q, they must continuously cut the Opex side and headcount. And so the cycle continues. Mike Laurie's only skill is cutting costs. With HP now coming into the fold there will be more scale and more to cut to continue this cycle during which time Mike Lawrie gets to make millions while building and ceating nothing. The company has no culture and no soul. People are cattle and seen as costs or line items in a Spreadsheet.

    Advice to Management

You all lack talent and any kind of moral compass. You give 2 weeks severance to those who get laid off - which is disgraceful. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for your complete incompetence. I'm confident Karma will have the last laugh... The best businesses are built on a solid employee culture comprised of high quality people that win & lose together while treating each other well along the journey. You actually do understand this and also understand that you're anything but this. And you're ok with it. Which speaks for itself. You're simply unfit to be someone's employer. Enjoy!

It was a good company, I had a good group. I am still in touch with my managers.

    Cons

They could gave better salary to keep employees. Only reason for turnaround was less pay.

I have been working at CSC full-time

    Pros

Good benefits and there is room for growth, can travel and move all over the world if you like, they just bought HP, therefore stock is going up

    Cons

Too many changes, too many mergers, no structure and to many chiefs and no Indians. Very low on resources and quick to walk people out if you are not billable to a contract

    Advice to Management

Higher people that can help write winning proposals and have great relationships with customers .
