Pros

Good technology available to do your job

Cons

The politics at CSG control every facet of the company. The HR managers and CHRO talk a big game, but they don't back it up. The minute the company wants to save money heads are on the chopping block and they do everything they can to "spread it out" so it doesn't appear that there are mass layoffs. The truth is that they lay people off at the drop of a hat to make their numbers look good for investors, and then turn around and open those jobs again as soon as they've done all of their financial reporting. Ethics issues are also a HUGE problem. People have to tear each other down to get a leg up. Their "values" are a joke. They create teams and surface level support women, etc. just to show how "woke" they are. When it comes down to it they are a business and their employees are a disposable commodity.

Pros

401k match day one and remote work environment.

Cons

Reviews mention that there is reorgs that happen every few years. That is every year and during the pandemic sometimes twice a year. This company constantly lays people off all the time. In fact working with people that were there more than 10 years they always worried about being next to be laid off. People would be apprehensive to update anything or change any code in IT because of layoff fears. The company has outsourced so much that any hope of unlimited vacation or anything promised is a moot point. The outsourced employees would make it a point to call you every night if they had issues. Some applications had constant issues. You are expected to work any time there is an issue. 24/7. People on my team had to cancel vacations even though they were promised things would change they never would because managers are completely chained to upper management which constantly lays off. It didn’t matter if you utterly printed gold bars for the business if you were old enough or they had a way to outsource they would. Some of my coworkers got only weeks despite putting in 10-15 years with the company when they got fired. Their layoffs were completely out of left field. If you do survive you constantly face the 2-3 percent raise environment. There is never any year where someone gets 5-10 percent and likewise when they hire they will always low ball. I have no clue how there are so many positive reviews for this company. It’s insane to me and I feel like none of these people worked in programmed or development which was most of the company. Literally everyone I talked to on a day to day basis always echoed the same feeling about the company.
