I worked at CST Brands full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Supportive senior management. Potential for growth.

      Cons

Somewhat rigid social hierarchy.. Some of the senior members tended to guard the resources and information they had and used everyday as if their lives depended on it. Competitive and non-collaborative at times.

      Advice to Management

This company no longer exists. Was acquired by Couche-Tard, Inc. 2017.

I have been working at CST Brands full-time for more than 2 years

        Pros

Good hours, good scheduling. Fun environment. Overall pretty easy job. Not really a career type environment but a good steady job with hours that you want for temporary

        Cons

No pay advances, no raises, worked over a year at 60+ hours a week and I haven't even gotten moved to full time employee.

        Advice to Management

Notice your employees that are working hard for you and give them raises

I have been working at CST Brands part-time for more than 6 years

        Pros

Fun job, great to meet people, most customers are perfectly nice, a couple work shirts provided, insurance available although high deductible makes it difficult to use.

        Cons

Poorly managed, top-down very short sighted all about the immediate numbers not about building the business, investing in the stores or employees. CSRs are viewed as dispensable and so are customers technically. Safety if not a priority, Circle K recently took over and took our safety alarm pendants because they are soooo cheap and bare bones in how they run things. Also they seem to try very hard not to let the underlings...

        Advice to Management

no point, they would never read this and they don't care, they deleted the link for employee feedback on their Intranet.

I worked at CST Brands full-time

        Pros

Worked the overnight shift with the doors locked until the next person would come in. Literally got whatever I wanted. 50 raise to work overnight. 25 raise after 6 months.

        Cons

Coworkers were sloppy and messy. Never cleaned up during their shifts left all the work for me

I have been working at CST Brands full-time for more than 2 years

        Pros

Busy, never a dull moment, variety of people to keep the day interesting, flexible schedule but it may not always be accommodating

        Cons

Passing the buck, broken promises, schedules come out at most the day before the schedule is in effect, schedules are weekly only. Hard to schedule time off in advance.

        Advice to Management

Try a different way to schedule employees, there are times that a schedule is not updated until 5pm the day before the new schedule is starting.
