I have been working at CVR full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Not overly worked. About 60 hrs a week. Pay is decent for area. Like all jobs always room for improvement but for now I'm satisfied.

    Cons

The biggest complaint I have is it is hard to move up in this company. And hard to get trained to do other jobs like like strap tanks, dispatch, ECT. No matter how much you ask to do it.

    Advice to Management

Train employees if they ask for more responsibility.

I worked at CVR full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lot of good drivers, great place to work if you're a driver.

    Cons

Management is horrible, hr dept is horrible. Management is under qualified and hires "buddies" that are incompetent. Pay is way below industry standard. I worked as a trucking supervisor for 1 year at the paulsvalley location I had to use my personal vehicle for work. Management was too busy golfing to actually work. Way too much drama in the office. Work 24/7.

    Advice to Management

Hire competent employees and leave your buddies out if it

    I worked at CVR full-time

    Pros

You get to do a lot of work in a short period of time. They pay out a good bonus when they have a good year.

    Cons

You will work so much you won't be able to see straight sometimes. It's terrible. The upper management is terrible at planning things appropriately and making sure that departments are staffed adequately. Procrastination and poor planning make for terrible attitudes among all employees.

    Advice to Management

Make sure you plan things better and treat your employees right.

I worked at CVR full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The location is fantastic great shops and lunch spots, that's about it. There are still some employees that either truly care about the company or the employees they work with.

    Cons

Benefits are absolutely awful. Bottom line is all that matters to the owners/execs, which is fine but don't expect employees to stay. HR is a nightmare and a revolving door, nothing ever gets done.

    Advice to Management

You need something more than location to keep your employees.

    Pros

Great Location.. some good, hardworking employees.

    Cons

The CEO and most of the Management team doesn't really care about the employees. There are some shady activities going on starting with HR. I would not recommend anyone I know to this company unless they address some of the Management problems.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to what's going on with your employees.

I worked at CVR full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The worker bees are good people, clean environment. Fair wage (benefits are horrible), middle management is ok..watch some of the women though...not so good.

    Cons

Terrible management, unorganized and lacking in worker satisfaction, HR is tremendously incompetent and on and on...

    Advice to Management

The CEO needs some work on his bedside manner. Employees are not likely to stick around when there is a habit of treating them poorly. All upper management needs to loose their God complexes. Its the actual worker who largely supports your million dollar bank accounts and lifestyle. Put your heads around that concept and you'll have a better company.

    Pros

Clean and new office. You get a ham each year and maybe a yearly bonus to compensate for lower pay.

    Cons

IT Dept. Run like toy shop. Lots of politics, not fun, not innovative. Directors treat employees and consultants like dirt, favoritism. Do not work here. Toxic environment. Low pay compared to industry.

    Advice to Management

Have career paths, grow faster with the massive amount of cash you are holding.
