I worked at CVS Health part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very positive experience. My managers were all very nice, supportive, and had reasonable expectations.

    Cons

The scheduling is inconsistent and it can be annoying to get called in once a week or more to cover someone's shift.

    Advice to Management

Better relationship between corporate and franchise. Seemed very tense when district managers would come in.

I have been working at CVS Health part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

From what I've heard, CVS is a good company to work for, but it greatly varies on position and location. My issues are with my particular location.

    Cons

I got a bad location. Customers are horrible at this one, even for CVS. Not enough staff even for a CVS, so breaks are difficult, and I usually have to walk off register to use bathroom. I understand that the lack of staffing is not manager's fault, and they are over worked, while anyone who isn't a manager has to go to other stores or get a second job to get by. Managers often have to do stuff like stock that would have been done by employees not too long ago because they are on salary, and they don't want to pay employees. This particular CVS is trying, customers flip out all the time, and unless they see everything, management typically takes their side no matter what. I have seen these same customers at my other job try the same stuff, and it's not tolerated there. Another unusual rule at this CVS is that the cashier also has to be a greeter like at Walmart, or you get in trouble. I have worked at other locations and this is not thing, and if it is, they will have a separate employee for this. You get in trouble for not greeting even on truck day. You are also not allowed to talk to other employees in front of customers because it will show up on your evaluation here. Other CVS this is isn't a problem.

    Advice to Management

They need to ignore evaluations for this particular store because very few people answer, and they are always unhappy. Also more hours for non management, because everyone keeps leaving to go somewhere else with more hours.

I have been working at CVS Health part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great Coworkers, Nice Pay, and a great company culture

    Cons

Younger managers who don't do their job

    Advice to Management

Evaluate any younger managers you have as many are just clocking in and not actually doing their job. It makes everyone else's day harder, promote the best not just the most available.

I have been working at CVS Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Easy to move up ( if you sell your soul)
If your a great stocker, then you will enjoy this job.

    Cons

Everything. Different managers make different rules. You don’t want to have a second job or go to school or have kids or simply have a life. CVS managers will and I say WILL talk about you to other employees and staff. CVS isn’t an enjoyable place to work. You may work with a lot of young people or a lot of older people.

    Advice to Management

Be fair. Which you guys won’t so I don’t know why I’m writing this’s

I worked at CVS Health part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Not too hard and not too busy after 8pm

    Cons

Have to deal with coupons which won't always scan correctly and the supervisors are not helpful at all. They'll often get mad if you ask for help; very unprofessional.

    Advice to Management

Please make sure your supervisors are helpful to the new employees, not just for the their first days but also after that. And if they could do it with a nice attitude, it would be greatly appreciated.
