    Pros

The job has alot of flexibility, schedule wise. My regional manager is very cooperative. Very little micromanaging, work by myself 95% of the time.

    Cons

Low Morale, lack of communication with managment and collegues, very little opportunity for promotion, under staffing

    Advice to Management

Stop cutting positions and worrying about profit. We need more communication with our regional managers and more staff. There is no motivation if there are no opportunity for advancment.

I have been working at CVS Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay considering you work in a store supported by a pharmacy.

    Cons

Zero support from district/regional management. If you have a problem, it is YOUR problem. Any issue with a customer is a potentially terminable offense.
Get injured? Be prepared to fight to keep your job.
Do your job? Be prepared to be called a "Paycheck collector" for not fixing CVS's culture problems.
Want to advance? I hope you're friends with the higher-ups. A merit-based system, CVS is not. CVS rewards cronyism, not talent or hard work. In fact, working hard gets you stuck in your current position indefinitely. If you are seen as talented, you are asked to troubleshoot bad situations and punished when you fail.
If you can work off the clock (you will be "asked" to), work outside your prescribed role, develop simple fixes to complex and endemic problems (which won't be implemented), and are already good friends with people in high places, then CVS is the place for you.

If not, I hope you like having a temporary job disguised as a permanent one.

Honestly, I could write PAGES about what CVS does wrong.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees instead of reducing staff levels

I worked at CVS Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It's a job with some store managers that care but not all. Every store location has a different environment.

    Cons

Customer first. If that means degrading you or parting ways with you for 1 customer then oh well.

    Advice to Management

    Be realistic. Lead by example.

    Pros

For my position a lot of schedule flexibility, decent employee discount and insurance

    Cons

Outdated technology, poor training to advance employees

    Advice to Management

Spend some money on upgrading tech and work harder a promoting people from the inside.

I worked at CVS Health (More than a year)

    Pros

Front Store associates all work together.

    Cons

Some Managers are great others no thrive. I have seen Managers become ill and the DMs don't care. Pharmacy accounts for 20-30% profit that all they care about!
CEO received a huge raise while workers only received .10. SHAME

    Advice to Management

Change companies it is not worth having no payroll, no associates, and working excessive hours for what. There's no reward and is the bonus worth it?

I worked at CVS Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Most of my coworkers and direct supervisor were great to work with. The good ones were professional but still very approachable and human.

    - Great health benefits. Medical, Dental, Vision etc.

    - Management made it easy to switch shifts on short notice or plan around other things in advance

    Cons

    - Training could be more comprehensive. It was mostly on-the-job and how to look for and fix internal problems was never even brought up despite it being a big part of LP work.

    - A lot of store managers had no idea how to properly work with undercover Market Investigators assigned to their stores. A lot of the time they expected us to act like uniformed security guards or would try try to dictate exactly who LPs watched/stopped which caused unnecessary conflicts, bad stops and lost business.

    - Overly cautious policy when dealing with suspects frequently made stops escalate into something way more risky and disruptive than they should have been.

    - Complicated and outdated timekeeping system caused a lot of very serious pay problems and allowed for rampant time fraud.

    Advice to Management

    - Allow LPs more leeway when apprehending/detaining shoplifters

    - Simplify and computerize the way LPs clock in and out

    - Focus on more LP awareness for front store staff
