I have been working at CVS Health full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Great team!
    Love my patients,
love the location; in an area where I can help more

    Cons

Not much clinical time to educate patients

    Advice to Management

Invest more in our technicians; give them a fair working price so there would not be so much turnover tech wise.

I have been working at CVS Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay is higher than most other companies, still hiring in some locations, lots to learn, centered on patient care

    Cons

workload is crazy, way too little tech help, not enough pharmacist overlap, hours are long, no lunch, 500-600 a day alone, not enough training, vacation is so little and no PTO.

    Advice to Management

Please increase overlap and tech help some or at least close down for a 30 min lunch. That way the techs and pharmacists all go at once, no shortage of help occurs and the pharmacist gets to eat and gets a breather -- this results in fewer mistakes, more relaxed pharmacists and higher performing employees.

I have been working at CVS Health full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

None. The techs are great but they get discouraged as well.

    Cons

Everything. Patient safety and decent working conditions take a back seat to meeting the metrics. Management cares more about their metrics-read bonus-than they do about their own employees and patients. You are threatened with a write-up or termination almost weekly, over non-patient related activities. Hours get reduced weekly. Store level employees, the ones who can least afford to have their hours reduced, are the first to suffer budget cuts while upper management gets no reduction. Remember, you lead from the front.

    Advice to Management

Care more about your employees and their concerns. After all, without them you would not be in the position you are in, nor receiving the bonus/salary that you do.

    Cons

Poorly run company. Don’t pay techs enough. Constantly cutting hours. Too number focused. Difficult work environment and challenging to keep team positive.

    Advice to Management

    Quit cutting tech hours

-Nothing is ever done to improve anything.
