I worked at CVS Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They help get your License in state and national

    Cons

Not a lot of hours, unless willing to relocate to many stores, sometimes work at two pharmacies in one day to complete your full time status.

    Advice to Management

Brandon at CVS in Hudson, MA was awesome, as well as Julie, Sam and the other pharmacists. They always work hard to help out.

    Advice to Management

Help workers and managers instead of focusing on unnecessary metrics.

I worked at CVS Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Starting as a pharmacy technician allowed me to grow within the company to inventory specialist and finally lead pharmacy technician with an option to transfer into the corporate side of the business all promotions included a salary raise.

    Cons

Poor management. Management didn’t seem to care much about its employees or the customers that came to the pharmacy as patients. The company seemed more concerned with its profits than actually helping people.

I worked at CVS Health part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

20% employee discount is about the only great thing about working here besides gaining experience in the medical field.

    Cons

CVS never allots the schedule enough hours for bust stores. Us techs constantly slammed and understaffed but the big wigs never cared that we were drowning all the time. Patients would threaten us everyday for things we can’t control because we’re understaffed (eg. wait times, drug in stock, past due prescriptions) There is also a big pay discrepancy between emplyees and CVS technicians definitely don’t get paid as much as Walgreens or Walmart pharmacy technician. I ultimately left because I didn’t want to have the stress of patients yelling at me to interfere with my personal life.

    Advice to Management

    Allow techs more hours

I have been working at CVS Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, Pretty decent hours, and good discounts

    Cons

Management team and District management seems to have favorites. Everything is ran by a metrics system, which means you can be a hard worker and a great tech, but if you don't scan enough CVS cards or enroll patients in the health rewards system then you are in trouble.. Pharmacy interns seem to think they run the joint but don't even know the difference between C2's and C3-4s. Pay is decent at best, you really have to fight for a raise

    Advice to Management

Don't preach genuine care but then punish the techs when they were showing "too much care" and aren't getting patients out fast enough
