I worked at CVS Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

your co workers and sometimes managers are nice and sometimes helpful... discounts are somewhat decent. Not much other than that.

    Cons

Not great if you want to grow in your career.
Old technology and no "budget" for learning new things.
    Everyone one is insanely overworked
Expect calls at all hours of the day because of the offshore teams
Expect to learn how to do things the wrong way.. and the old way.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better. Overworking and stunting personal growth is the reason you have such short contractor turn over

I have been working at CVS Health full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There are none at this company

    Cons

No holidays off, no weekends off, no nights off, understaffed, underpaid , over worked, high expectations from mngt with no help. OH and if it snows , too bad you have to get there.

    Advice to Management

Have Larry Merlo take a cut from his 19,000.00 an HOUR posisition and give some money back to the stored so we don't have to work alone at night

I have been working at CVS Health full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Great pay and great customers

    Cons

ZERO work life balance. If you have a family you don't want to work here. You are salary so they will work you 70 hours a week and only pay you for 45. Do not care about their employees at all.

I worked at CVS Health part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They are very flexible with making or changing their schedule for students who have to go back to school and wish to work part-time.

    Cons

Low wages. And nearly every CVS store I have worked at was understaffed even during peak rush hours. Since we are always understaffed, there isn't enough time to complete all of the tasks that need to get done for the day... so that creates a hostile and stressful environment because the employees feel overworked and stressed out. Nearly every other week upper district managers come in and keep shoving the numbers that we were supposed to reach down our throats. CVS Health's computer systems and the way they take care of things are outdated and needs a huge overhaul.

    Advice to Management

If you guys stop understaffing a majority of your stores, the employees will be happier and will be able to complete more tasks and we will get to focus on satisfying the customers more. Thus the customers will be happier and choose to shop at CVS more often vs. the competitors.

    Cons

Can't even go to the bathroom without recourse

    Advice to Management

I have been working at CVS Health part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

co-workers and truly helping customers when CVS affords us the time to.

    Cons

Ive been working a a part time pharmacy technician for over 5 years in CVS, my pay is under 13.00 an hour. I work non stop from the entire time and then constantly asked to work extra because every else quits ! Pharmacy supervisors don't care about your store as long as they still have a chance to collect their end of year bonus by skimping with you, nothing is ever good enough snd they are always adding more GOALS within the same period of time. Best part is you are still expected to harass the customers with PCQ calls even if your the only person working that day. They tell you the pharmacy must BE sterile clean , what a joke, what they really mean is LOOK sterile clean. They made a huge mistake when they stopped selling cigarettes, their desperate trying to find ways making up the revenue. Oh how I wish the NYS board of pharmacy swooped down on this place. CVS we had enough already. Pharmiasist drop from this company like flies. I do stay because I have a schedule that is fixed around my family life, I am comfortable with my co workers and customers, know my job very well, but as soon as my flexibility changes, and I am able to find another job else where, I'll never look back! BTW how much does Larry make?

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to work in the field so they get a taste of what they dish out and how lucky you are to actually have people that care about what they do. I am a great employee, too bad you don't value great workers, maybe if you did they would stick around! Every year we fill out an engagement survey, but for what ? Nothing changes, EVER!!
