I worked at CVS Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The tasks they ask you to do are incredibly easy and the scheduling is generally very flexible.

    Cons

On the list of "Worst US Companies to Work For," CVS ranks near the bottom, just above Wal-Mart. They treat their employees very poorly. HR is biased against lower-seniority employees and any advancement potential is grossly exaggerated.

    Advice to Management

Take your employees' concerns seriously, and don't get their hopes up about a raise or promotion if it's not likely.

I worked at CVS Health part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It was busy it made time fly by, ummm the pharmacy reps always fed us pizza. I enjoyed working with the customers.

    Cons

I never received proper training with insurance rejections or anything else for that matter besides the easy tasks. I have worked at two different CVS is in the pharmacy and they tend to gossip about each other behind each others back and talked crap and insulted customers behind the customers back as well

    Advice to Management

When training difficult techniques to master, there should be someone next to you if you need help.

I worked at CVS Health full-time

    Pros

There is no pros I can think of

    Cons

    Overly worked
Never recognized for the good work
    Just negative environment

    Advice to Management

It was literally slave work. You don't get paid for nearly all the work you do and everything you had to deal with. You were never recognized for your hard work. I don't recommend

I have been working at CVS Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    They work with your schedule.

    Cons

Everyone thinks they are the manager. No leadership skills. No confidentiality. Theft goes on every single day even with LP in the building and no one gets stopped. The people that have been their for longer slack off and tell others to do their work for them. Crappy work environment. Pharmacy doesn't get along with the front end. I can go on and on!!

    Advice to Management

Sit down and actually LISTEN to what your employees have to say. Fix your attitude. It sucks!

I worked at CVS Health part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

On the job training, company pays for state and national test.

    Cons

They cut store hours, leaving you with few staff to handle the daily tasks. My coworkers had to start coming in before opening in order to get ahead while they could. They also cut your hours just below 40hrs/week so that you don't qualify for full time benefits. Our district manager also wasn't any help. They (I had two different ones during my time there) would come in, usually with someone else in tow, take up space in our already hectic pharmacy, and do...I honestly have no idea. They also took (she was 'voluntold' to go) one of our staff RPHs and put her in a different store.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your retail staff! Get rid of the ridiculous metric system you have in place that 'scores' the quality of our performance. Stop scoring on how many readyfill RXs you enrolled, how many people signed up for texts, how many flu shots were given. All it does is turn into harassing the customers. Set realistic expectations AND wait times. 15 minutes is obnoxious when it comes to making sure you don't kill your customers.

I worked at CVS Health part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Store Discount, Part-time work as supplemental income always available.

    Cons

With store hours being long and 7 days a week, it is nearly impossible to have a direct contact with HR, despite terms of hire employees are expected to adhere the schedule posted. Pay is low for Pharm Tec at minimum wage, promised raises do not appear.

    Advice to Management

    Recognize and reward talent.
